Still too early for you, Sleepy Head ShepK?

Mama, you have buffalo sauce for Ms. Spookie? She won't eat shrimp unless they are dripping with the sauce.

Man, that Patty is elusive! Can't chase her down.

    MammaRay, good to see back.

Queenie is like Eeyore. The wind has to be right for her to land.

JunieB, dad notices that Neurontin works better for him. He feels better on just Neurontin. He feels dry with Naproxen and Tramadol along with Neurontin make him too sleepy. I saw him yesterday and he was reading the newspaper...a good sign. Still waiting for the book prop from Amazon🤔

Your neighbor does have some good in him, you see? Hopefully, Kirby will work on the rest of his heart.

Susan, eyelash extension lasts a few weeks, right? As I get older, my eyelashes and eyebrows slowly fall off Why can't the underarm or the hair down thdere do the same?

Patty, so glad to see you back. ((Gentle Hugs))🤗

You guys, I had some left-over shrimp.... so I cut it up, with a hard-boiled egg, celery, onions, avocado, chopped walnuts, and this mayo stuff dressing I made.... I toasted 1/2 a bagel, and it is really good! Had left-over potato soup with it....

Supposed to snow tonight into tomorrow...

Spookers... flip-flops? Did you gals hear that? All I can say is, those of you who can wear flip flops have prettier toes than I do.... Hah!

(flap flap flap....glide....flap flap flap) Still reading, mind, but not posting so much. Distracted by school, in a good way. And yeah, what is it with the hair thing?

but definitely HI PATTY! (though I expect she's/you've understandably retreated back to what offline comforts are available)

Patty - so GOOD you popped in! We were all wondering about you.

Lover - Because of Xeloda, I've lost pretty much all my hair "down there." It's kind of in a weird stripe of no hair...a REVERSE mohawk, so to speak . Sorry, TMI.

Chevy - Wish I could wear flip flops, but I've also lost almost all of my toenails, thanks to Xeloda, and my big toe nails are just barely hanging on. What the heck...I guess it's an ok trade to give up toe nails and hair "down there" in order to still be around and hang out with you gals.

Shep - LOVED the little note about giving our " used toys away to the less fortunate." Ha ha, I'm still laughing.

Wild T - It will always be hard, no matter what. You had feelings for the bum once...that's why you married him and had kids in the first place. I dumped my boyfriend from college/grad school over 30 years ago. He had addiction problems too (along with a gambling problem to boot). I thought he was the love of my life, but I just couldn't take it anymore. Self preservation kicked in because he was dragging me down before my career even started and I had to cut him loose. I had a dream about him several weeks ago, so I guess they still live in our subconscious minds whether we like it or not. Have a great time dancing, and do one for me too!

You guys, I know it has to be heart-breaking to lose so much when going through those treatments.... I know, because I lost my hearing due to a stroke from taking Tamoxifen.

But about the hair-hair-everywhere.... I remember my one "girl-friend" once telling me YOU HAVE THE HAIRIEST ARMS! I was just sick! I was only a teenager, and it really hurt.... just like when another girl asked "why are you so ugly"..... I was about 12.... but we get through all those hurtful personal things....

So now here I am.... 79, and I don't think I have hair anywhere except on my head! But I don't mind.... If I have it on my legs, I would need a magnifying glass to find it.... Oh, there is now peach-fuzz on my arms... I should go talk to my friend, and ask..."so what do you think now?" Hah!

I have 8 good toe nails! It's just my big toes.... the nails have to be filed from the top.... Hah! Years ago, I would glue little pretty nails on.... just like fake nails.... THAT'S when I wore open-toed sandals.... A girl has to do what a girl has to do....

So don't worry gals.... we are just lucky to still be here..... Love you all..... xoxoxo

Thanks all for the Medicare input. Yes I can keep my work coverage after I retire!! I get a very affordable benefit package of medical, prescription drug, dental and vision that includes a Medicare Advantage plan but not original Medicare. I was going with that since Medicare.org said I could switch back during open enrollment if needed. I'll have to do some checking on that, thanks JunieB. The only cant go back I saw was if I leave my employer plan I cannot go back to them.

BIggest problem is the medical group we currently use does not accept the Medicare Advantage plan that my work offers. My choices are:

    A) Leave the employer plan forever and purchase through AARP or similar to keep current doctors. I would have to pay for a supplement and prescription drug plan.

    B) Stay with employer plan and change medical groups, all new doctors

    C) Stay with employer plan and pay $460 more per month (ouch) for a different plan that my current medical group takes.

Open enrollment is in October so I am enclined to try option b for 8 months. We had this medical group years ago and I can get some of my old doctors back (still making calls) and my current MO gave me recommendations. Im trying to look at it as getting a second opinion on everything if nothing else. If the plan/medical group/doctors isnt working out I can change to option a or c in October. Scary changing though but glad I'm done with most treatment right now.

Yall are having a party and Im talking about old person insurance! Well the party menu looks good and I'm starving. Cooking some chicken and dumplings up as it is cold (for us) here today.

Susan - LOL when you said baby in bath with prunes...I thought of whole prunes floating. You know how that would look!! Your pic was much better, she is having so much fun

Shep - Yes husband 65, not me. You are right about the picture of the 4 of us, we are young, young, young!

Lovery - Tramadol made my DH feel terrible, weird. I hope the B6 is helpful, glad he is making progress.

MammaRay - Hubby is better each day, thank you. Wishing for some pain relief for you. I always covered my bald head too, just didnt like being bald and felt better that way.

junieB - I would love freedom of choice on my medical! Yeah honest and and nice neighbor, I'm happy for you.

Poppy - Ironically, the man that returned my wallet is not that nice and is normally a less than honest person, plus a known drug addict. So, the fact that he actually returned it without taking anything is what I am so surprised about. But incredibly thankful. Thank God!

The info regarding the No going back to original medicare came from a SHIBA counselor when I went with my Mother last year to see if she could leave her Advantage plan and return to the Original. When you are over 65, the supplemental plans are less expensive I believe. My Medicare, Supplement & Part D insurance come to a total of $324.00 a month total, plus my drug co-pays, which are not great. Approx. $20.00 a month. The Ibrance is $10,000.00 a month and my co-pay would be $3,200. in January, then $521. the other 11 mos. However, I qualify for Pfizer's PAP for the Ibrance.

You might check to see if there is a SHIBA counselor in your area. Here they are associated with the Human Services Seniors & Disabilities office.

Shep - Love the Sharing meme. And the extra kitty box.

Loverly - It is so amazing how different people have such different reactions to the same drugs. I take tramadol, Relafen (anti-inflammatry), and Hydrochodone and I don't experience the things you described for your Dad. So interesting.

Where you and Lita experience the loss of hair, I get to spend time at the magnified mirror daily to get rid of the hair that pops up on my face and other places, from the Estrogen suppressor (Faslodex) I get.

Patty - Glad you could drop by for a visit.

Chevy - Your shrimp salad sounds pretty yummy! The girl who asked why you're so ugly at age 12 was just jealous. Remember you posted a pic of yourself and your DH and it was beautiful.

The massage I got yesterday left me feeling amazing then, but then I woke up today I was feeling very bruised, which is typical. However, still felt relaxed. Thank you Fibro.

JunieB ~ You are so right about different people responding differently to meds. It's crazy how one person can have a complete opposite reaction to what others have had. Stupid Fibro, making you sore after your nice massage...... Has your toe gotten any better? Poor Junie :(

Poppy ~ Good luck with getting the insurance figured out!

Jazzy ~ You lead such a glam life! Always doing something fun and interesting. I love hearing about your adventures! Hope you have a lovely time at the spa :)

Chevy ~ How could anyone ever be so mean to you? Those rotten things people say to us when we are young do stay with us, don't they? They shouldn't, but they do. You are beautiful inside and out. Those jealous girls can just go out to the garden and eat worms. Ha!

Smaarty ~ Safe travels to you. Have fun!

WildT ~ Awwww, dancing..... Getting dressed up and going out with friends; Awesome!

MammaRay ~ Does your son have Monday off from school? Hope you are getting to spend some fun time together.

    Queenie ~ Hey school-girl!

Feline ~ You are a good advise giver :)

Ack....keep nodding off. Goodnight for now....

I found the perfect one for "us"

IF ONLY WE COULD HAVE GAVE OURSELVES MORE THAN JUST ONE CHANCE IN THE 29 YEARS PLUS WE WAS TOGETHER, WHY GIVE UP ON STRONG LOVE SO EASY MOSTLY WHEN YOU KNOW YOU STILL WILL ALWAYS LOVE THAT SPECIAL PERSON FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, OR I KNOW I WOUD HAVE NEVER WANTED TO BE WITH THEM OR EVEN BEGIN TO BE WITH THAT SPECIAL PERSON TO BE WITH FOREVER TILLL THE END OF OUR LIVES:

Good Morning! Thank you everyone for your kind words and support. It IS appreciated. I don't have any feelings for my ex-H..he tries to be a good dad, which I appreciate, but otherwise he just annoys me. My post was more about concern for my kids and my jealousy. It's an ugly thing, but true..I wish it was me in a relationship. That said, for your amusement, I did get hit on last night when I was out dancing with friends. Absolutely no physical attraction on my part, and some things he said turned me off, so no..he did not get my phone number.

There's this couple that I met up with last night..they are in their mid 60's and up until about a year ago they were out dancing 1-2 times each week. The main reason they go out less frequently now is that they are getting their house ready to sell so they can retire and move to a warmer state. They like to swing dance, and do so when the dance floor isn't too crowded. Watching them dance together makes me smile. Plus they are good to have around..the woman sent her husband over to engage the man who was hitting on me. She recognized that I needed rescuing! :)

Susan, I'm so happy for you that you got your eyelash extensions, and that you got a deal!

Loverly, thanks for sharing the dance video. I'm happy for you that things worked out with you and DH.

Junie, I'm sorry you are bruised from the massage..bummer! So great about your wallet!!

Chevy, I can relate on the hair arms. People can be so mean. :(

Shep, Thanks for the Ex quote..perfect! Oh how I would love the box of kitties, but then I couldn't breathe..kinda important.

MammaRay, no I didn't take pics last night. I'm sorry you are in more pain. Whine to us anytime!!! It IS really hard to stay positive when you are so tired. I hope when you learn to sew it will give you something to look forward to, when you feel up to it. I'm sorry the hair loss got to the point where you had to shave your head. :( Regarding the wigs/hats..whatever makes you the most comfortable is most important.

I am moving incredibly slow today, so I better get to my to-do list.

Chevy ~ "What can I do to make your day better?"...... My answers to that daily question, if asked by FFH, would be waaay different. If I posted them, ya'll would be so sad for me - and sending out cartons of disinfectant and filtered breathing masks! 😨

Hello to all you lovely ladies......The weekends go by way too fast. I work Sun-Thursday, so I've already made it thru the first day of my week. Work is getting better, I'm finally feeling like the chemo "fog" is wearing off, and I'm getting back into my "groove". It was nice at work this last week. When I was gone, I had my 13 year anniversary with the company.  I missed my review since I was out on leave.  They gave me my review this last week, and still gave me my "bonus" even though I missed 6 months of work in 2016.  Still seem to be doing ok on the Tamoxifen, and only noted SE are the hot flashes and mild joint pain in my knees. See the MO in Feb for follow up.

    Lita-how is your cousin doing?

Junie-How's Kirby.  I love the cute pics you post, and the one with you is adorable.  Next time I go to Portland to visit my friend, I'll have to try and venture your way for lunch.  Glad you had a good massage.  I need to go get one of those soon.

Lover-I didn't notice the mole either. How's mom and dad doing? I must of missed the post about your mom's car accident. Hope she is ok. You said something about behaving? Behaving is overrated ;). How's Mitzy? She getting some good walks in before the next rain hits. Chance got to go to the dog park for an hour today!

Smaarty-Hope you are having fun at your retreat.  You ready for your surgery?  Did you ever make it on to the Flat and Fabulous site on FB?

Wild-Sorry for your struggles with your ex.  Good to hear you had a nice time dancing. Glad you were rescued ;)

Chevy-Chance is such a good boy. I adopted him when he was 5 1/2 and he'll be 11 in April.  When it's time for his walk, I'll tell him to go get his harness, and he goes and searches for it and will bring it to me..

Mamma-glad you were able to get away.  What type of dog do you have?

Looking-I thought us CA ladies were going to float away with all the rain we had, but we NEED it.  Was glad when the sun finally came out.  I won't walk Chance in the rain, I'm a wimp.  I'm sorry for the loss of your fur baby.

Shep-wish I liked my voice.  I especially hate how I sound on video/tape.,but very kind of you.

    Susan-love the Prune pic.

Waving hello to anyone I may of not mentioned or have forgotten......Feline, Jazzy, Patty, Spookie, Mommy

Sensitive- congrats on the bonus, despite being out during treatment. Your company/org really values you girlfriend! I hope your joint stiffness eases with time. I had a big adjustment the first six months on the AIs, but then it got better. These meds are no picnic.

Keep that back in the groove thing going too. You are on the mend.....

Sensitive, haven't heard from my aunt regarding my cousin. The rape and attack was about 7 weeks ago. She will have a tough road ahead.
