Kirby has an adorable face.
-
Hi & thank you Teka!
-
I cannot wait to see a pic of You holding Kirby!!
-
Aww, Kirby has such a cute belly. He looks so huggable. I'm with Teka. Can't wait for a pic of the two of you together.
-
MammaRay, hope all is ok for you.
Julie, that's terrible how you were treated by the ER. It was four months ago you were there. It's not like you abuse their system. Whatever happened to "first do no harm" and showing compassion. Bad enough you got the cold but you could have been mugged or worse.
Lita, hope your back pain has eased up some more. I'm with you about Ricardo. Boy, the man could carry himself, couldn't he? They don't make them like they use to.
I see Chevy and Spookie are back to teasing each other. It's good to hear, particularly about the weather.
-
mammaray, hope you are breathing better after procedure.
Juneb, Kirby is so cute. Can't believe your hospital story:(. Doesn't seem right. But uber is a good idea. Everyone here got that same chest yucky virus. Hubby not doing well, Claire and Elena have it too, and Claire's hubbyvis just getting it. I had a head cold for 3 days and then all better. Wheeeh. What helps us is a percription codine cough medicine. Calms the cough so you can sleep. They don't want you to use it during the day, want you to cough it up. Hope you feel better soon.
Got locked out of my email....tech support can't help. Tried to set up a new one, but it keeps kicking me back to the old one. I am the worst at technology, mostly cause I don't care, I think I am going to bring back snail mail 😳
Hi all...and night night
-
Chevy, Yes..it's an allergist I took DS to today, not a general Dr. We haven't even talked about allergy shots yet. First I have to schedule testing, a scratch test I think it's called. The allergist suggested a nasal spray to help DS with congestion, so we'll give that a try in the meantime.
Date night with DS tonight was nice..relaxing. Before DD left, DS said, "Bye, I love you." He loves his sister so much..it's adorable. She had to be encouraged to say good-bye to him, but did say it back. They're so different!
MammaRay, Nooo! That is not how you were planning to spend your day, I'm sure.
BTW, Shep, do not even joke about the possibility of wasting chocolate. Not going to happen!
Loverly, Where are you? Aren't you back from your trip yet??
Sending healing thoughts and pain pixie dust to everyone that needs it.
A friend of mine gave me this little pillow for Christmas and it has a pocket on the back side. You are supposed to write your wishes on paper and put them in the pocket. I'm going to go write my healing wishes for all of you.
-
-
poppy, I finished one. Does yours look like this?
Kind of pointy. Yes, it's yellow. 😛
-
thanks MammaRay. I'm curious to see how it looks if I wear them. Feeling better? So where was the blocked vein? The stent will prevent it from closing right?
-
Good job Smaarty, thats exactly what my knocker looks like! What are you thinking of wearing them in? I wish I was done with my post mastectomy cami I'd give it to you but I'm still wearing it most days.
-
thanks poppy. I still have the sx bra they gave me last time. With that one and the one I'll wear home, I should be ok. After about 3 weeks I'll be able to wear tshirt. I got some from Soma last time and they were very comfortable.
Night
-
Nice job on your foob, Smaarty! You are far more crafty than I could possibly be.
I really doubt I'll be posting a pic of Kirby & I together. I HATE seeing myself in photos. Always have. Even when I was thin. I remember a time in my 20's when my Mother wanted to take a photo of me and we argued and fought about it for at least an hour before I finally gave in.
Question: For those of you on chemo, do you get your flu shots yearly? I have not gotten one in a few years, but this winter has already gotten off to a rough start and my ANC is quite low, so I'm wondering if I should reconsider.
Rescue inhaler wasn't cutting it tonight, so I had to break out the Nebulizer and give myself a breathing treatment. Man oh man, the amount of stuff that has come out of my lungs is shocking. Sorry if that is TMI again.
When is Loverly due back from her vacay?
Goodnight again!
-
Junie, I get a flu shot every year, and my MO ordered me to get the pnerminia shot, too.
-
Smaarty
-
Awake since 3. What a year this has been! Thanks for being here for one of the toughest years!
-
Ask your MO about flu shot. Mine said no.
-
JunieB,
I've never posted a frontal pic on the threads.
Maybe I should've said a face pic on the threads.
-
My MO reminds me every year to get mine.
First time I have had all morning so far to sit down and be online. Been pretty busy
-
I get mine every year.... I also had the prevnar 13 follow up for the pneumonia shot last year.... Why couldn't you get the flu shot Spookie? And do you still go to an Oncologist? Just wondering, also I only get my mammogram once a year, and it isn't a "diagnostic" mammogram.... But I'm over 7 years out now....
-
I don't know why he said no. I still have my port, 4 years later, so I still see MO. Had bmx so nothing to squish. Have changed MO since dx, thank you sooooooo much Humana. New one agrees with me to keep it. Guess cause I m high risk to reoccurrence.
-
Sensitive- you are welcome. How is work going? I remember you went back maybe a month ago and were pretty tired. I remember that well too, work, sleep, little else. Are you doing better? Did you get some time off over the holidays!
Nowhere to go but up from here sister. Wishing you continued recovery in to the new year and glad we could be here to support you!

TEKA - OMD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😱 WHAT are you posting???? And WHERE???? Now I'm ascared we'll start stumbling on full backle pics!!!!!!!
Spookie ~ I've always been told the flu shots were a bad idea for anyone with Fibromyaglia. I don't get 'em either.
JunieB ~ Gah! You need a break from all this chit! A couple of tablespoons of honey helps with coughing sometimes; the codeine syrup is the best though. Hope you have some? About the flu shots...Fibro and shots I would say no. Adding the other stuffs into the mix, I dunno. Your immune system is already weakened, so in theory the flu shot would be good. Ahhh, but the flu shots are made up to prevent what the expected strains of flu will be this year. Sometimes "they" get it wrong and a completely different strain hits. Then there is the concern of adding the stuff in the shots to an already mucked up immune system. Hard call. I guess whatever you decide is the "right" answer? although I had pneumonia as a teenager, I've never had the shot for that. I've been fortunate not to have had pneumonia again. Oddly, my healthy FFH gets the flu whether or not he gets the shot and had pneumonia (no shot) last year. I am totally a germophobe and credit that to my avoidance of those "plagues", ha!
Kirby looks sooo teeny tiny when being held by a people! In his pics by himself he looked BIG! You don't need a puppy carrier - just a big pocket! 🐶
My dentist has started to have me take "preventative" antibiotics before any cleaning or procedure because of the metal thingy in my spine. He said that anyone with hardware from joint replacements or ??? would be more susceptible to infections entering a wound in the mouth. Anyone else ever been told that?
MammaRay ~ You just casually mentioned a major medical procedure like most of us would talk about going out to check the mail! Chucking great big baskets of healing light to you. Go To Bed and Stay There!!!!! Golly! Adding virtual comfy pillows and some more very gentle hugs to those baskets........
Susan ~ Are you still locked out of your email? I had all of my passwords neatly written down in an address book. Worked great....until I lost it! It's "somewhere" in the house.......I started another address book and have slowly added the stuff I can remember or reset. Only lost this one 3 or 4 times so far! Hoping DH and all are doing better. Hope you stay not sickish!
WildT ~ Awww....love the "date" nights! Such a happy little crew you are 💕 Hope all works out well with the allergist. At least with the those tests, you know the result right away. (sigh) Your wish pillow is the sweetest thing ever! What a thoughtful gift. And you "shared" it with us! "Healing thoughts and pixie dust", I'm with MammaRay....love that
Sensi ~ 💓
Smaarty ~ Hoping your PS calls you in sooner so you won't miss out on any of your retreats. Crazy how we can make plans for a surgery and a trip like they are the same thing. Ack! Nice job on your knitting project! (not saying "Nice Knocker" 'cuz that would be weird) 🤐
Hey! To All Y'all! BBL...............
Edited for typos...........
-
Just relaxing now that dinner is done and making a grocery list
-
I've had fibro waaaaaaay before bc. Always get a flu shot, just not that year. No problems.
I also have a 4 level cervical fusion. Nobody has ever said to take an before dentist because of that. And there is a TON of metal in my neck.
I do take them at my cardio pressing because I have mitral valve prolapse.
Some days I wonder how I manage to stand up.
-
shepkitty,
I've public posted clothed full backle pics on the threads.
-
-
So it's the PRIVATE posts from Teka we should be worried about 😮
-
