JunieB............Kirby is a cutie pie!
October 6th was the last time *sas-schatzi* was on-line. September 21st was the last time she posted on this thread. Is she just taking a time out from the threads? Does any thread member know?
-
Tera, yes, Sas is off for awhile. Ow. Lover is in contact with her by phone. She is doing fine.
Here's Evie all dress for CO weather. Poor kid can't move!

Smaarty ~ awwww....."Mom what did you DO to me?" Poor lil' Evie is trapped! Pretty hat and socks - hand knitted?
Teka ~ My mom would steal you guys from me! Naughty friends are the best! Naughty moms......errrrrr..........
M0mmy ~ Hubby is your soulmate
Liking the same movies
Chevy ~ OMD! Those "soothing" sounds would give me nightmares about needing to pee while being attacked by darned birds! Gah! I hates how they chirp so brightly early in the morning. That is why kitties bite their heads off. True. Costco is the best, isn't it? Yay for getting new "ears" - hope they work and fit perfect! My tinnitus is soooo bad. Medicine, sinuses, bulged discs in my neck.....maybe something can be fixed to make it better. (hoping) Yes! The docs do talk like that! I'm sure of it! FFH worked 25 years in corrections/police and now trains, certifies and oversees private security officers. He watches alllllll those real life cop shows to "unwind"....Cops, the First 48, Jail..... that is not relaxing!
WildT - Sorry I couldn't stay up to play
Those tossing/turning nights suck. Don't listen to Chevy and watch Cops to fall asleep! Yikes! Laundry warriors....oh the decadent lives we lead
Just heard back from DS; he will drive me to the dentist. Hope I can get ready fast!
Happy Tuesday Y'all!
-
Kath, I had one cataract done last year. The other one wasn't ready yet. They gave me 1/2 halcion under my tongue. The worst part was feeling high from the halcion the rest of the day. My eye doc says the other one will be ready next year. I have gone back to wearing glasses full time because carrying reading glasses around and putting them on and off was driving me crazy. So these glasses are basically readers with only my astigmatism correction on top. I'm happy. I got semi-cat eye frames and they help hide my undereye circles.
We visited DS & family in Oregon for Christmas. Got in after the roads were plowed and left yesterday before additional snow fell last night. Miserable trip back in pouring rain, but still better than snow. We had salmon and artichokes for holiday dinner. Yum.
Happy holidays to everyone. I only had my phone and it takes me an hour to do one sentence.
-
I got her gym shoes, . She is showing them off. They are hand painted roses
can't really see them, but they are cute.
-
I hope everyone had a wonderfully blessed Christmas . I am still resting up...lol.
Off to take another nap...I will be back to the world of living tomorrow.....looking forward to that :
-
Those babies sure are cute and growing!
-
Yes in some freaky way, we almost like the same things
-
mammaray, sorry about the hair loss. Check out Rachael welsh wigs. That's what I bought twice. Not fond of wigs, but the price was ok. I got lots of complements on them. Good luck my friend :
-
Evie and Elena are so precious!!
Smarrty,
Thank You for the *sas-schatzi* update.
-
Shep, love Marti's and Andy's Christmas pics. I do have the anti-glare coating on my glasses but it doesn't work now because of the cataracts. My New Year's resolution will be to get brave enough for that surgery.
Evie's expression is priceless! "Umm, what do I do now? I can't move."
Elena looks quite proud of her new shoes.
We did Christmas yesterday as DD1 took her hubby to NYC to see the Knicks play. They are his favorite basketball team. I said I would do dinner. Oh Lord, where was my brain. My girls took over most of the holiday cooking four years ago. I only have been doing desserts. I was pooped by the time they left and my back was screaming at me. Hopefully I will be back to myself tomorrow.
JunieB, I'm counting down the days with you until Kirby comes home with you.
Mamma, hoping the hair loss tapers off. Hopefully it is only at the site of the procedure.
-
Mamma, I can see why you're concerned. Losing that amount of hair would certainly show on me. There are some really cute wigs out there. Ever wanted to be a blonde?
-
MammaRay- when my sister went through chemo, she got a wig but also a cute baseball cap with hair around the edges. The wigs are hot from all I hear from some of the sisters and from my sister's experience. Some times hard to wear for a long time. The baseball cap came in handy for my sister when she went out to the store or the like.
I am really sorry to hear about the hair loss sister. Just so hard.
-
I have a wig I only wore a few times. I'll send if you want. Hot does not come close to describing the misery of it. In Florida in Aug and Sept, temps in mid 90s with humidity about the same. I simply couldn't wear it.
Might be good now up north winter to keep warm?
I had a baseball cap embroidered No Hair Day, wore that more to keep from getting sunburned.
PM me if you want wig

Major sleeplessness last night because back mets were hurting big time. I think I sat down the wrong way at the theater on Sat afternoon. I just plunked down in the seat and then thought, "Uh oh....shouldn't have done that so quickly. I'm probably gonna pay for this." Every once in a while we briefly forget that we have bone mets. Hope tonight is a little better for all of us with back pain and other issues.
Lita
-
Hi Spookie- how you doing? How is Spookie the dog too? Did you have a nice holiday?
MammaRay- lots of nice ladies here looking out for you and helping with wig ideas and offers!
Lita- I am sorry to hear your bone mets are causing trouble. Hope you sleep better tonight!
-
We are both doing ok, thanks! Just chilling here, keeping an eye on Chevy.
-
Ha ha, Chevy needs to be watched. Good to see both you gals back! I am back too! We come and we go sometimes....
-
Chevy, I don't have a tv in my bedroom, so would have to get up to watch something to lull me to sleep, but then I wouldn't be in bed. I often toss and turn..usually after my bladder wakes me and my mind takes over. Typically I'm too tired/lazy to get up, but sometimes I read the postings on BCO. I have learned, though, not to post anything in that hazy state! I just might give the nature sounds a try. Thanks for posting!
Shep, OMG..Kitties biting birds heads off! I laughed so hard I choked on the chocolate I was shoving in my mouth. I agree, birds are a little too chipper first thing in the AM. How did the dentist go?
Hi Jazzy!
-
I've gotten to the point where I really can't sleep now unless I have earplugs in. All those years of having to put up w/DH's snoring, I guess. Now he uses a C-pap mask, but I still have to wear the earplugs
).

Susan ~ Elena and those pretty footsies 💗 Did you do the painting on her tennis shoes? Hope you had a lovely and refreshing nap ( or naps!)
Kath ~ Yay for an extended Christmas! It must have been so nice to have everyone together for a big dinner. Not nice that your back screamed at you for it. May a good night's rest put those aches into a deep, deep sleep - preferably a coma 😵💤
WildT ~ I hope none of your chocolate was wasted during your laughing/choking fit. Darn birds! I try to keep those winged chirpy rats under control by hanging the birdfeeders low. FFH keeps disappearing them though.....say's it isn't right to "bait" the birds for the kitty. Thhppp. The dentist wants me to go back in February to have my bridge replaced. Not happy at all. One of the "anchor" teeth has gotten some decay and it has to be taken care of so it doesn't go into my jaw bone. My insurance won't cover but a fraction of it. Too much $$$. (sigh) Will have to charge it. I was soooo tired when I got up this morning, I got confused about that big hand/little hand thing on the clock. I rushed to get ready and then realised I didn't need to leave for another hour! I had nice nap and was almost coherent when DS came to pick me up 😛
MammaRay ~ Gosh! That is a good bit of hair! Maybe from the Rads? Can you call and ask your MO or RO? (((hugs)))
I stumbled across the link below on a post on another thread. It is for a free head wrap/scarf. Very pretty styles to choose from:
Wishing all a restful night and happy dreams 💖
Good Night!

You GUYS! How fun to see you all here this early in the morning! But most of you are still probably in bed... So WAKE UP ! I remember when we used to wear wigs because we didn't want to do our hair! I'm just sorry any of you have to lose it! But hopefully it comes back?? I didn't have chemo, so mine only thinned from the Tamoxifen. I also sent a wig to a gal one time...
Do any of you remember SV? Still Vertical? But then she must have really gone through a hard time.... She lived on the Outer Banks of S. Carolina I think it was... and always talked about the Wild Horses along the beach... She sent me a box of little "sea glass"... I made them all into a little hanging piece on driftwood, along with shells, etc.
MamaRay... I remember that... but DH tosses and turns so much, that we finally just are more comfortable if he sleeps in the dining room on the day-bed... IT'S OKAY!!! It isn't as if he is out on the porch! And I don't hardly MOVE in bed... maybe once or twice a night... And he says I snore.... Hah! But we both sleep better this way... HE used to be the one that snored! And I would push him, or tap-him, or clear my throat.... just ANYthing to wake him up... I DIDN'T kick him out of bed.... So now he comes in and we snuggle before I get up.... He lays back down on HIS bed.... like now..... and I am sitting here quietly drinking coffee and talking to you guys.....
Now Jazzy! You will just egg her on, you know! Hah! Yes, we keep our eye on each other.... we got each other's backs.... And did you hear her complain about how HOT it is in Florida??? Like she minds that???
It's going to be "hot" here today, too! Like maybe 45! And do you hear ME complaining??? Send that girl a muffler! Maybe some muck-lucks..... Hah! See, when you get older, you get "tough".....
Oh! I have a cute little black baseball cap with a red rhinestone heart on it! A BIG one! Beat THAT Spookers! And a clear rhinestone brim, and a rhinestone arrow going through the heart! Haaaaaaaah!
-
Chevy- I never wore wigs but know my mother did at points because it was fashionable? And Spookie loves her sunshine and sand, of that I am sure!
-
Yes Spookie does! She walks over to her beach, and takes all her clothes off, and scampers around in the sand with her dog....
-
shepkitty,
I get my morning
lurking on the *how about drinking?* thread while keeping tabs on Oldie Owlette *camillegal*.
-
Drinking thread rocks!
-
beats freezing my tush falling in the ❄️ ❄️❄️
-
Jazzy,
I also keep tabs on you!
