PET Scan and Chiropractic

I had a PET scan last Friday. I went to my chiropractor the Wednesday before and got adjusted. It showed hot spots in my neck and spine. Is it possible it was just lingering inflammation from my adjustment? Has this happened to anyone else?

    cspence - Sorry I can't answer your question. Did you fast the morning of your scan? Did you have the PET/CT with contract where you had to stay absolutely still for an hour before the scan?

    Hi!

    PET scans show all sorts of things that aren't cancer. My left femoral neck (hip) lit up on three PET scans, but it didn't on an MRI or CT scan. Hence, MO believes it was a false positive. If that area had shown up on an MRI or CT scan, MO would have had it biopsied. What does your MO say?
