NYC/MSKCC oncologist recommend?

Hi all,

I have a girlfriend who is looking for a late second opinion from an oncologist at Mem. Sloan Kettering in NYC.  She was dx w/stage 4 IBC @4 yrs ago, and now has chest, lung, liver & bone mets.  Can anyone recommend an onc. at the facility?

    I can highly recommend my oncologist- Dr Andrew Seidman  and I believe that he specializes in advanced breast cancer-  He is a incredible doctor and has the most amazing compassionate staff   She can use my name -  Julia Dash

    My Onc at MSKCC is Gabriella D'Andrea and I just love her. I have seen Dr. Seidman a few times when Dr. D'Andrea was out and I agree with Julia, he, too, is a great doctor. Either would be wonderful for a second opinion.

    Not to switch directions but I understand MD Anderson in Texas has a special IBC section.

    I can only give you the name of a doctor that I went to and didn't care for very much.... or her nurse for that matter.  It seems mean to do so but I don't want you to get stuck with her, despite her being named in 2007 as one of the best doctors in her field in NY.  Her name is Dr. Maura Dickler and I found her sickly sweet but almost impossible to relate to as a real person.  And her nurse... total bitch as far as I was concerned.

    Hope the universe does not strike me down for posting this.

    Meant to mention a doctor that my friend went to and LOVED... Dr. Maria Theodoulu (Greek name I guess).  My friend only had the best things to say about her.  Good luck

    Kimf, I hope you're well almost 12 years after your diagnosis, and am writing to you because I was just referred to Dr. D'Andrea. I can't find many comments about her. Can you explain a little why you liked her so much?
