Dear Doctors,

Iam Anitha, from chennai , India.

My Mother has reported

INVASIVE DUCTAL CARCINOMA STAGE IIIB and had mastectomy & SLND(Senital Lymph node disection ) by 29th Nov-2016.

please help with further treatment procedures

    Hello Anitha and welcome to BCO. None of us here are doctors so we cannot tell you exactly what drugs will be recommended for your Mother's cancer but we can tell you what will more than likely come next as far as treatment goes.

    As she has already had the mastectomy and SND and the fact that her cancer was stage III it will probably be recommended that she under go chemotherapy followed by Radiation therapy and depending whether her cancer is ER/PR + an Aromatase Inhibitor for five years. If her cancer is Her + Herceptin will also be recommended monthly for a year.

    If her cancer is ER/PT - then chemotherapy and radiation with future monitoring will probably be the treatment line recommended for her.

    I hope this has given you some idea of what will follow for your Mother and I wish her all the very best.
