Kathy, I very much remember Doug. Sounds like it was time though. I am sorry for your loss.
-
Kathy, that is the longest I've ever heard of anyone living with pancreatic cancer. Three weeks has been the norm for those I knew. He was blessed with some extra time....I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Meece,
I am so happy to have found you still posting! I have been gone for a number of years. I was going through a very stressful transitional time, and dropped of. For all the ladies that wrote to me to check up on me, I am so sorry, and deeply apologize. I checked my inbox, and feel bad that there were unread emails that were wating for me. We had so much fun posting together, and it is amazing timing that we are seeking the fellowship of this forum during the same time period.
I will have your family in my prayers tonight. I remember all that you had gone through with the grieving process of your boy's father.
God bless you! I am so glad I found you again.
Love,
Miss Bianca

I thought I was out of the woods, eight years since my BC, finished Arimidex and was told I had a less than 7 percent chance of a reoccurance but found out today I have ILC. I will be having a BMX in the future. Please pray that I can handle what God has placed in my life.
Love and hugs to all of you!
Linda
-
Linda I'm praying for you! - I'm only 5 years out no arimidex and less than a 10 percent recurrence. Guess I have to trust the Lord that it doesn't happen to me.. I will be praying your BMX will be smooth without complications.
Edit: Meece, I just read back up and saw your last post. I have been there with my son's divorce. It is so hard for them and us to watch. Know that the Lord will be surrounding your family through this. I will be praying that the judge makes the correct choice and the baby and son will be safe.
-
Linda,Linda,Linda! So upset on your behalf! Prayers ascending!

Thank you for your prayers, I am seeing the plastic surgeon on Friday. When I think back to my first visit at Sloan and the Dr. said I had a 7 percent chance, I replied "well it really sucks for that 7 percent doesn't it!" I have not lost my sense of humor yet, but this is going to be hard. My DD wants to have a party to say goodbye to the TaTa's, I told her I would think about it. I am nervous about the recovery after the BMX, any one care to share?
-
Depends on if you are getting recon.
I have stayed dead flat for 8 years. Recovery was easy as there are no muscles, bones or organs removed. The twitching as the nerves regenerated was annoying but not painful. I didn't take any pain meds after the first day or two. You'll do great!

My brother was killed in a boating accident on Saturday, in Bandon Oregon. Please be in prayer for his wife, 2 sons, my sister and myself and my daughter. We are devastated.
-
Oh, Joni! I cannot imagine your pain....my heart goes out to all who loved him. Gentle hugs, sweetie.
-
Joni ..so sorry to hear your news ..sending prayers and hugs for you all .
-
Joni, I cannot imagine the sorrow you all have now. Prayers for you and your family and deepest condolences.

Oh Joni I am sorry to hear this devastating news! Praying for your family.
Love and Hugs,
Linda
-
Joni I am still holding you and your family in the light.
Hugs and Love

Thank you. This is a very hard loss. Both of my parents were ill leading to their deaths, as it was for all grandparents. This is the 1st loss I have experienced of a family member that was totally unexpected and completely devastating. My sister and I are feeling very fragile.
-
Hugs sweetie. I cannot imagine your emotional pain.
-
Joni, I'm so sorry. Sending prayers and sympathy to all of you.

coming to the garden asking for prayers I'm having my surgery a double mastectomy on November 16th. Hugs and love to all of you
Linda
-
Linda ..Sending turbo prayers for God to guide the surgeon , quick , easy recovery , and good pathology report (( Hugs ))
-
Linda, you will be pleasantly surprised at how different this surgery is. Because there is no muscles, bones or organs involved it is fairly simplistic. I was impressed. Good luck, sweetie! Let us know how you do.

Praying for the nation!

I've been MIA for so long; I'm so sorry for all your pain, and losses.. aaaaaaanot a day goes by that you ladies aren't in my prayers. I'm just discouraged, and trying to give it all to God on a daily basis...
The things I deal with , seem much easier when I read thru yours.. Mine is leftovers, side effects from BC; and I'm not emotional about that stuff.. but, sons, and emotions, that's another story..
I'm STILL praying for Matt daily, Meece, he kinda got "stuck" in my head.
The 3 jays and Mur are doing ok. Murs got early demetia of some kind, still testing ..Grands are growing, smart as whips with smart mouths, as well.
Thanks for checking on me, Barbara..
