Thanks Jazz, beautiful image of the relationship of our planet to the cosmos.
Here is one showing the earth from the moon.
-
Today is one of those days here where its a good idea to stay inside and relax with a good book. Getting some much needed rain today. The news this morning said we could see a couple of inches from this batch! I could take a week's worth of rain at this point

*Good Morning Hermits*
I took a time out from lurking and posting, but now playing catch up.
Did you have a nice Thanksgiving?
Daughter joined Boyfriend and Family for Thanksgiving dinner.
Husband, Son and I had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner at home.
I am now slowly decorating for X-mas.I always enjoy the pics and chitchat. ;o)
This pic was taken from Facebook.
Pansies are so resilient.
-
Teka good to hear you had a nice Thanksgiving with your family. I love seeing the Pansies poking through the snow.
It is frosty and cool here this morning and we had a dusting of snow during the night. I had my last expansion fill last week and that has been going very well, I feel like I have a mini basketball on my chest. My last surgery will be in the spring. I just took a partial picture of my back yard this morning
-
Hi Teka- happy holidays! Thankgiving was quiet this way. Still working through a cold.
We got our first snow last night, yet some plants still remain unfrozen?
-
Got a good dousing of rain yesterday. More coming today into tomorrow morning
-
M0mmyof2: the rain was torrential, here! What a mess–but at least it wasn't snow, hahaha!
-
Dark, it was torrential at times here too. Happy that we are finally get the rain we need. Just praying that Eastern Tenessee where the wildfires are happening will get some rain. A friend of mine who lives there let me know she is okay but she did say they needed rain too. They are as bad off as we are

*Good Morning Hermits*
adarkadaptedi, Hi and Welcome!!
Lookforward and Jazzy, still plenty of time to feel better for X-mas.
MO, still busy with college?
Our view from the kitchen.
-
Yep, down to the final two weeks
-
Do you then take a break until the spring semester?
-
Teka: wow, gorgeous! And thanks!
-
Planned on taking a little break. Brain is melted from all the work
-
Adarkadapte welcome.
Teka beautiful view.
Mommyof2 enjoy your well earned break
-
I will indeed.
-
Adark- welcome! I am originally from CT. Where the heck is Whaling City?
Teka- beautiful snowy view!
Mommy- good luck finishing up this semester!
-
Jazzygirl: Hey! It's the one of the nicknames for New London.
-
Adark- Oh okay, I thought that might be it! I grew up in the New Haven area, also in the Hartford area. Been in and out of CT a couple times but a firm western transplant now for 20 years.
Welcome!
-
I'm in Waterbury a.k.a. The Brass City,
Adark.
-
Jazzygirl - Wow! I've lived all over CT, myself (Hartford/Fairfield/New London counties, as well as a stint up in Storrs), as well as in L.A. on three separate occasions and then in Chicago for nearly nine years, before moving back to CT for horrible family reasons. I'm here to stay, now... My dad and his gf live near New Haven and my onco team's at Yale, so I'm familiar with that area, too!
M0mmyof2: Aha!
-
Something sweet for you all as the holiday season begins

Teka- have you seen these?
-
-
Oooof - pathway markers labeled for indoor use?! Hee!
-
-
Yep.
-
So true, I love it. Thanks for the laugh
-
Ha ha, I heard these stories from my father all the time growing up!
-
Yep. Heard this one from my mom too.
Watching Blazing Saddles and laughing so hard my sides are hurting
-
Merry Christmas!
