Timing from DX to Surgery, etc

I noticed a physical change (dimpling) in Aug, Dr scheduled mam/ultra in Sept (which came back normal), but my dr on physical exam a week later said we could do an MRI to double check. Had MRI 10/4 -which led to Biopsy 10/19. Official diagnosis came back 10-23 as IDC. Dr apt the week after that, and she ordered PET which was denied by insurance, so had bone and cat scan done on friday 11/4. Now awaiting Bone scan results (will show tomorrow). I dont have any additional follow up apt scheduled yet--not sure if Dr will still want to do a PET, etc.

Just curious how long other's have had to wait since DX to surgery, etc. I really will feel better knowing its been taken out of me, but i feel like its taking forever to get all this set and I dont want anything to spread, etc.

Anyways, thank you for any comments/etc.

    I was diagnosed by core needle biopsy 7/20/15. Had LX 8/20 ( I think), then re-escision for clean margins 2 weeks after that. In the meantime, I also got results from my genetic testing--Lucky me, 2 gene mutations that cause BC--and Oncotype changed from PR+ to PR-, a more aggressive BC. I saw the MO 9/28/15 and started chemo 10/20/15. After I finished chemo in12/28/15 my MO strongly recommended BMX, so I had that 2/4/16.

    So, I guess it was about a month from diagnosis to LX, then 2 months to chemo, then 6weeks to BMX. The whole business took about 10 months (I had severe wound complications post-BMX which took 16 weeks to heal, Oy~!)

    thanks mustlovepoodles, appreciate the feedback and sorry you had would complications-Ouch! I got all my scans back clean, but they want to ultrasound a cyst on my ovary and then I would suspect I can schedule my surgery. Just feeling anxious and want to get it out.
