Beautiful cat and beautiful photo, love the light.
Ha! love the post about the bed. My house it's always a gallop to get that bed made BEFORE Arthur goes for his after-breakfast-and-morning-neighbourhood-patrol nap.

Redheaded1,
I hate Pinktober, but love the Grumpy Survivor! ;o))
-
Tang, your new kitty is darling. Who is the B+W kitty that is your avatar?
-
That is Toulouse.....he's a munchkin kitty and he is such a character! I'm gonna try and post a couple of him.😄
-
-
He is handsome. I had never heard of munchkin kitties until we got one into the shelter.
-
He's fabulous! I love black and white kitties. Thank you for posting.
-
I never heard of munchkin kitties until 2 secs ago...

I have a sad cat report. Oreo finished the pain medication & I started him on the Cosequin for cats. It did not agree with him and he threw up for two days. He is back on the pain med & we have x-rays scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. I am wondering if, along with the arthritis, he might have an obstruction. Since he is 17 years old, I am starting to prepare myself for bad news. Any prayers or positive thoughts would be appreciated.
-
Sorry to hear of this. God bless you and Oreo. XXX
-
Ruth, Sending healing thoughts for Oreo and hugs for you.
-
Ohhh Ruth Hugs for you and prayers and healing energies for old Oreo. I know he is loved and cherished. Here is hoping for good news.
-
Ruth, hope Oreo was just having a reaction to the Cosequin and nothing more. Please let us know what the vet says.
-
Prayers for Oreo
-
((oreo))
((hugs)) for Ruth too
-
Thanks, ladies. I will let you know what happens tomorrow.
-
Oreo lives!! When they did the x-ray, they found that he was so constipated that he was plugged up all the way up his intestines (which has also plugged up his bladder). So they are knocking him out, giving him an enema, draining the bladder & will send him home with some different food & a long-term laxative. The vet says that he actually looks good for 17 & should have a couple quality lives left. I am SOOOOO relieved, like dodging a bullet!
-
Yay for Oreo and you too Ruth. You are so happy sounding
-
Relieved for sure!
-
Wonderful news Ruth! I know the trepidation when an animal that old seems ill.
I'm taking my boy in this afternoon. We suspect a UTI or crystals.
-
Yeah for Oreo ruthbru!!!! What a relief.
-
Ruth ~ what a relief that all Oreo needed was "relief" 😸
Wren ~Hoping all goes well for Squeakers 😺
Long live the kittes.... and the doggies too!
Edited to add that I had to make an emergency run for cat food to tide Pris over until we get her regular brand. Publix has their own brand of grain free dry food with pretty decent ingredients. It was actually better than some of the "top" brands. Only dry food that I have ever seen with 12% moisture.
-
S glad to hear the good news for Oreo💛
-
Ruthbru and Oreo Great News!!!
Best wishes Wren for your boy.

Talk about professional! Turkish news anchor doesn't miss a beat when stray cat wanders unannounced into the studio:
-
-
That's hilarious about the stray cat in the news broadcast. Yay for Oreo and I hope he feels better. Good luck Wren.
-
Squeakers is back until he can produce a urine sample for them. Our vet loves him because he's super easy to work with. Had to listen to his heart around his purring. Funny: she gave him 2 treats which he sniffed and refused. When she was out of the room DH offered them and he gobbled them up.

Feline ~ I love the heartwarming kitty stories you find! I found this news article with a translation of the news anchor's words and a very happy ending...........
Smack dab in the middle of presenter Kudret Çelebioğlu's reading of the news, a random stray kitten leapt onto the desk — and headed straight to his computer.
Much to Çelebioğlu's credit, he did more than just take the sudden feline interruption in stride. In the moments that followed, he used the opportunity to encourage viewers to show compassion for homeless cats in the community:
"As you know, winter is coming and cold weather is passing through," he said. "It's an unexpected guest, [but] we should cuddle him. We should open the doors to stray cats and give them water and food [...] We all should take care of them somehow."
And that's just what he and his colleagues did.
After the broadcast ended, the kitten was given a meal and a warm place to cuddle — and then so much more. As the Daily Sabah reports, an employee at the studio decided to adopt the cat, giving him the name Hüsnü.
Now that's a good news story.

Wren ~ Why is that a cat will NEVER pee when you want him to? Hoping he'll be productive so you can get him fixed up quick. Good boy Squeakers, not taking candy from strangers. He knows who to trust! 😽
