DH is going to be in NC in both Oct and Nov. He's flying over just for a weekend in Oct for surprise 70th birthday party of a former teacher of his who became a lifelong friend. Then in Nov he is visiting for 2 weeks which takes in his Dad's 80th so will have to send him to a Petstore and a vacuum store! I will throw the ewhole lot incl the white vinegar at the bike! I may have made a booboo with my initial vinegar attempt as I used apple cider vinegar which was what we had in the house.

The pee was on hardwood floor, not carpet. Probably easier to get up than carpet would have been. The hydrogen peroxide completely obliterated the smell, but would probably ruin carpet. I have seen both of the enzyme cleaners here, so I'll use them if he has any more episodes.
The rescue where I clean cages had an adorable calico kitten today. She is very shy. I touched her fur and she pulled away. I could see her rapid breathing and heart rate from being scared.
-
Hopefully she will come round with some TLC
-
Thankfully a happy ending to a terrifying predicament...

Hello all. Haven't been around for a while. Lastest picture of Gus my very spoilt cat.
-
Does he like to have his tummy rubbed? It looks irresistable.
-
I love orange cats, they are the best!

Hi
Beautiful cats & kids
My daughter sent me this- it's our wee ginger female, Minka, to a tee! She chooses how much affection thank you...
(Looks like a slimmer version of Gus)

Here's a pic of a sweet kitty that I am taking care of for the next 2 days. Thought you would enjoy seeing this.
-
This is my beautiful 3 1/2 year old gift from the universe and pure love wrapped in soft fur - Simon Barsinister Templar Kaminsky. Simon hasn't left my side since diagnosis and he's got his mummy's back. He is also a part of the "instant cat club." For example - take out my iPad - instant cat! Take out my beads to make a bracelet - instant cat! Put a bottle of water on the nightstand - instant cat! Open a bag of pretzels - instant cat! You cat lovers get the point
-
Love It YeuxDeux! (Great BC.org name too!!) Welcome to the cat club.
Great cartoon kt1966! That is our Arthur also.
Howdy Cowgirl! Beautiful picture of your cat sitting subject.
-
YeuxDeux - love that description, LOL. Had to bring in a pile of kindling and wood to fire up my first fire in new wood stove. I said, what you bet they all come to investigate, and they did. Just hope they don't find hot wood stoves irersistable.
-
Yeux Deux and Cowgirl 13, If you can take photos like these, any animal shelter would love to have you take photos of adoptable cats. Our shelter has a team, so each person comes in once a week and photographs new cats. Their photos are posted online to attract adopters. By way of saying, those are great photos of great cats.
-
Cowgirl, your cat is giving us a "come hither" look. She's a beauty..
YeuxDeux, oh those eyes! Simon is handsome. He's looking sweet and innocent.
-
Thanks for your nice words about my photo of the grey cat. I just love him. I photograph all the cats I sit for--I really like to try and capture each cat's 'essence". It usually takes several days at least to get a pic where the cat is relaxed.
YeuxDeux, what a beautiful cat. I love the dark brown siamese, I think they are call a seal point.
Wren, I like your idea of photographing a cat for one of the shelters.
I'll post again next week.

I had lovely cat named Simon that looked identical to yours. He lived to be 21. I had him for 11 years, after my neighbor had twins, he started pulling his hair out since he wasn't the b aby anymore---so they gave him to me. 've had two other kitties since him, but he was the spoiler for me.

Don't you love my grumpy survivor--it is in the Good Housekeeping this month. I had an onc. appointment today and my hands and wrists, feet and ankles are killing me. I showed it to my Onc and told him I sure hope you don't think this is me today-----and he laughed and then said, you have classic symptoms of being toxic from your drug---so I am doing a 4 week break and then we are doing it every other day to see how it goes. Still hoping for that 5 year mark, but he says we are in the lower stages of "diminishing returns" for the drug..
-
Hahaha live the grumpy survivor. What a wonderful lot of cats. Simon, Cowgirl's cat and Kt's Minka, that did make me laugh. Gus is just the same.
YeuxDeux cats are great companions when you are not well. They do know.
Gus is off somewhere. Like most cats here he is an indoor outdoor cat but he usually comes in for the night.
Big hug to all.

Thought you might all enjoy this. I did!

The 2 cats fightly politely over milk is just WONDERFUL! I love the photos of everyone's kitties. Simon is gorgeous. So is the grey one. You all take such great photos of your cats. My Emmy-paloosa is sitting on a high stool I bought to aide her sitting next to the window and watching outside. It is rainy and windy and the leaves are coming down in bunches... she watches and chitters at the leaves... simple pleasures. It's something to do and at least she is not bullying the other cats. Her other nick names are "Little bunny foo foo" since she bops our others on the head. She is quite the bully. Friendly and loving to us humans.
-
That was great, Very polite cats. Now surely they deserve TWO saucers of milk
-
Okay, I confess. It is almost 9 a.m. here and I've yet to make the bed.......................because I don't want (dare) to disturb the cat! It's a slippery slope I'm on. Anyone else?
-
I LOVE this thread
I've got a couple of pics of our new kitty, we adopted her in July for my 7 year old's birthday. Her name is Rosie
-
Labelle, The rule is don't disturb a sleeping cat or a sleeping baby. Unless the house police are coming today, don't worry about the bed.
Rosie is a cutie.
-
Rosie is a itty bitty house plant!!! She's soo cute.
