skin mets and port?

good morning ladies. I have newly diagnosed skin mets. It's redness and a red itchy rash. If I have skin mets couldn't accessing my port push cancer cells into my blood stream? I've already had my sternum area radiated twice so I font know how they'll treat this area now. I see the mo tomorrow. I'm worried. Also my throat,low, and my collar bones are super tender to the touch but it's on both sides. I would think progression would be on just one. Any thoughts? Please talk to me :(

    My question is: Where is the skin mets located? Near the site of your port?

    As it is, the cancer cells are already traveling around your body through your blood and lymph system. My guess is that as long as the port isn't located at the site of the skin mets, then this shouldn't increase your risk.
