Mets to pelvis (uterus,cervix,vagina)

Options

hello everyone!

Before going into my specific query, can I say I always find the greetings part very daunting, I don't know how to begin.

I'm posting on behalf of my mom who was diagnosed with mets to bones two years ago and to the pelvis 6 months ago. She took taxol weekly for 3 months and the Followup pet shows regression everywhere but her mediastinal/hilar lymph nodes have shown mixed response. The doctor has ordered an EBUS (usg guidided bronchoscopy.

Has anyone had the same procedure done?how was the experience and any sideeffects?I guess moms experience would depend largely on the expertise of the doctor.

She's doing fine clinically, esp after the horror we experienced 6 months ago.. The pain was unbearable and it was so hard to see her go through it. We were positive the scan will usher good news.

It will get better hopefully.. For eveeyone.

I am so sorry to hear of your mother's diagnosis, and it is very loving of you to reach out on her behalf.

No words of wisdom, just the suggestion that you and your mother are free to seek a second and even a third opinion at any time regarding her treatment.

I hope her condition begins to improve very soon!

Thank you best bird for the reply, I really appreciate your best wishes.

The biopsy is tommrow morning and my mind is plagued with all these doubts. I hope the procedure goes well without any complications. For now that seems to be the major concern of everyone including my mom at home .

    Take care :)
