Our Lady of Guadalupe ~Today is her feast day December 12
Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mystical Rose, make intercession for holy Church, protect the sovereign Pontiff, help all those who invoke you in their necessities, and since you are the ever Virgin Mary and Mother of the true God, obtain for us from your most holy Son the grace of keeping our faith, of sweet hope in the midst of the bitterness of life of burning charity, and the precious gift of final perseverance.

Prayer for the New Year

Grant me the strength from day to day to bear what burdens come my way.
Grant me throughout this bright New Year more to endure and less to fear.
Help me live that I may be from spite and petty malice free.
Let me not bitterly complain when cherished hopes of mine prove vain, or
spoil with deeds of hate and rage some fair tomorrow's spotless page.
