Cats, cats, cats

I wonder how much they eat? It could get expensive to feed them I think.

My neighbors cat in hot pursuit of a chipmunk. ;o))

Someone has made a stuffed cat that has a pouch for heating material and a battery operated heartbeat. The rescue put it in with very young bottle baby kittens. We usually try to trap the mother and keep them together, but that didn't happen there.

Mozie fluffing her nest in my husband's sock drawer.

Teka ~ my cat's name is officially Nora Batty but generally she gets called by the usual 'kittie.' Thanks for asking. She is attacking The Doctor. By that I mean Doctor Who, not my oncologist. haha. She appeared at our door alone & unwell when a kitten. We didn't find any other kittens, just the one.
Feelingfeline ~ no doubt you can tell that I like UK tv. Hurrah for youtube! & Netflix.
My user name is a reference to the weeping angels. Unfortunately, I've blinked and so here I am on this forum.
Nora Batty as a kitten.

Here's Rosie sleeping with Isabella, We Adopted Rosie about a month ago😄
-
This is Toulouse, our munchkin kitty. 😃
-
LOVE all the photos. That photo of lucky Rosie and Isabella reminds me of my DD and Arthur, except that Arthur prefers the to have the bed to himself!
-
well ... nearly.
-
ahhhhh! Love it

One of the two ferals who have adopted me. They love sleeping in the flower pot. Don't have the heart to plant anything in it.
-
Aw......
-
Who needs flowers when they can have felines.
-
Kath ~ instead of a catnip planter you have a catnap planter 😺

kathindc when I was new to having cats, I had put a bird feeder in my backyard...as I recall, a hummingbird feeder. My Emma is a very good hunter, so when I realized that I had set a trap for the birds, I removed the feeder. Your picture reminded me of what happened next. She just sat in the nasturtiums waiting for the next hummingbird. I had a better picture of this, but you get the idea.

My Devon Rex breeder had this runt in a litter of 5. Her name is Tiny Dancer and she is just the sweetest thing!
-
My friend's Devons. The smaller one is sister to Tiny Dancer above. She posted this pic on Facebook and she got one fantastic caption for this picture:
"I hate it when I'm spread-eagle necked in flagrante delicate and my ears flip backwards."

My goodness, what fantastic photos!
Do any of you ladies have dogs? We can use more dog photos on "Dogs, dogs, dogs!"
Thanks!
RIP Bucky (dog) and Clyde (cat)

I have a grand-dog
-
I notice that it is the cat who has most of the blankie.
-
I'm happy today. One of my favorite cats was adopted. She's a 16yo long-haired grey cat and was super sweet. We were worried about her at the shelter because of her age and managed to get her into foster care. She was adopted by a couple who love older cats.

Another 16 year old finds a home! That is fabulous Wren. What great people!

Cats crowd the harbour on the island of Aoshima, Japan.
An army of cats rules the remote island, curling up in abandoned houses or strutting about in a fishing village that is overrun, with felines outnumbering humans six to one

Wow. They all look related, too. Might make an interesting genetic study for someone.
-
My friend did his dissertation on this topic -- studying isolated species populations.
Island biogeography is the study of the species composition and species richness on islands. Island biogeography is a study aimed at establishing and explaining the factors that affect species diversity of a specific community.
He did it on field mice on an area east of where I live. I can't remember what isolated them--maybe obsidian lava fields

Interesting!
