5 years celebration
hello ladies,
I'm celebrating 5 years living with stage 4, having just gotten back from a bucket list adventure in Africa and currently enjoying super low tumor markers, thanks to Ibrance. Grateful for every day and every adventure.

Congratulations! So glad that you got to enjoy a fabulous trip and may you keep on celebrating
-
Awesome news and so encouraging to read!
-
thank you, everyone!
I was just thinking how living with stage 4 beyond 5 years is relatively new, as a rule. I know there are long termers out there (way longer than 5 years) but perhaps they were the exception at the time? Would it be too presumptive to say we are the pioneers of the new "rule"?
-
congrats! Awesome trip! You know, I was having that exact conversation earlier today
I hope so!
-
Yay! Congrats! Awesome pictures! What an amazing way to celebrate!

Glad NED is loving up on you! Keep up the fight!!!!

Wonderful news! Congratulations!! Love the pics!!

Congrats! What a gray milestone. So happy to hear that Ibrance is working well. Love the pictures and that you took a trip to Africa! I would love to go there some day.
I have been convinced that the survival stats are out of date for some time. With he new drug advancements, who knows what the average survival rate will be. I really hope there is a set of new pioneers of long term survival on the frontier . . . . and that I am one of them too!
-
Yes Stephanie, from your lips to God's ears......
-
Me too Artist. Long wait for the little ones. My kidsare still teens.
Btw, I saw Sting (hot hot hot) and Peter G down here in LA the other night. GREAT show, I agree!
-
Wahoo Here is to 5, 10 and 15 + and more.
What a great trip!!
-
So happy for you Stephanie! The photos are wonderful and the memories will last a long time:)
Hope you have more bucket items scheduled!
-
Congrats Stefajoy! What an amazing trip that must have been! I can see your joynin the photos.
I think you are on to something with the stats, and I like to think of us as pioneers as well. So much is shifting in the way we think about and treat cancer. I hope "outliers" become the norm, and I think that is already happening. Lead the way for the rest of us
-
Congratulations, Steph! I haven't been on much in the last month or so, and just saw your post. Feels good to be
a pioneer. Yes, I think we are.
Enjoy!
-
Fabulous pictures!
I like to think that we are the "new breed" much like the people that had their lives change with the advent of insulin.
-
cheers
