I am new to this board from Delhi, India. This April end I was doagonsed as having stage 4 BC. It has spread to Femur, many places in vertebra, ribs and skull. For skull radiation was done. Healthwise I was perfectly normal with only occasional pains in femur. Since May I am on Femara and Xgeva. First month was okay but after that I am having nausea most of the day having bloating in the stomach too. I dont know if its se of the medicines or something else. Please can someone guide me. This is my first line of defence and I was hoping to continue for a long time but this nausea is making problems for me

Dear Punam, welcome to Breastcancer.org. We're sorry for what brings you here, but glad you've found this wonderful community where we're sure you'll get lost of support and understanding.

Unfortunately, nausea (click on the link for more information on managing nausea) is one of the side effects of many drugs such as Xgeva and Femara. Did you tell your doctor about these symptoms? There are some anti-nausea medications that you can take before or along with your breast cancer treatment that could be very effective.

We hope this helps! Please keep us posted on how you're doing.

Thanks for welcoming me. My oncologist told me that normally the joint ache is the most common side effect. He asked for Liver function test which was normal. He than stopped all vitamins and calcium for one week and recommended Pan-D twice a day. But that did not effect the nausea. I am meeting him again next week and discuss it.
