in my vast experience with L & I ( I started yesterday ). I was told this was a very common SE but to call the team immediately because it can become a serious respitory problem. Can you put a call into your onc's office and ask? Cheers, de

Cold viruses, oh ugh. Been through it twice. Cycle one and cycle five. Both times it took three weeks to get rid of them. The first time it was total misery. Second time I just had a blocked ear for 10 days.

I took the normal OTC cold medicines. [Claritin caused a rash but Benadryl was fine] For the cough you can take mucinex or robitussin.

BUT! If you get a fever you need to report it to the docs or nurses. They'll want to test your white count and neutrophil levels. If those are too low they'll give you antibiotics, even though it's a viral infection.

I hope you feel better soon!

Thanks for your reply. I have been taking cough syrup and the Benadryl. So should be gone in a

few more day. Not coughing as much today. Have had no fever. I am on fifth cycle. So though if

    might be from med.

caall, I got a dry cough and constant nasal drip from Ibrance. My nasal passages get tingly and burn a little and very sticky slightly bloody mucus, but also VERY dry at times. (TMI) I would also have what I call an allergy headache, which would last from waking up until mid-morning. That subsided after a few weeks but the nasal thing is always there. It is also a very dehydrating med so I would get dry mouth all night due to the plugged nose as well. I have to blow a lot and drink gallons of water.

    I may have mis-understood.

If your cough is from dry air (and Ibrance) and not from a cold then you should likely report it along with taking the meds. Maybe there's something [else] they can give you that will help.

I just talked to the pharmacy as I am staring this pill on Friday. They told me no less that 5 times to report any chest and breathing issues to the dr immediately because there is a chance of embolism. Get it checked out!!
