The FDA approved dronabinol oral solution (Syndros) for the treatment of patients with cancer who experience chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, according to a press release from the agent's manufacturer. Dronabinol oral solution is an orally administered liquid formulation of cannabinoid dronabinol, a version of tetrahydrocannabinol — is indicated for patients who failed to respond adequately to conventional antiemetic treatments.

The FDA also approved use of the agent for the treatment of anorexia associated with weight loss in patients with AIDS.

This is the first FDA–approved dronabinol solution for oral use. From: http://www.healio.com/hematology-oncology/practice-management/news/online/{7cbac236-d722-4926-9185-341a05f4ac19}/fda-approves-syndros-for-cancer-aids-indications

(Those experiencing nausea that is not related to chemo, and/or anorexia/cachexia that is not AIDS-related may still wish to discuss this drug with their doctor!)
