Prayers Please
As most of you know, my daughter is pregnant with my first grandchild. She is 26 weeks pregnant now. Unfortunately she went into labor yesterday. She is still at the hospital and they are trying to stop the contractions. They have consistently stayed 2 minutes apart. This baby means the world to me. Please take a moment and pray that she can hold onto this baby a little longer. I am so worried and concerned for both of them.

Thank you all so much for extending my prayer request. She just had an ultrasound. He is weighing in at 2.2 pounds. Heavy for 26 weeks but if he comes early he will have a fightable chance. We are still hoping and praying we can keep him where he is for now. Keep praying for us. I can't lose this little man. Thanks to everyone.
-
Kandy, does your grandson have a name yet? It would be nice to pray specifically for him, by name.

Keeping you and your family in my thoughts.

He hasn't been named yet. My daughter says you can't pick a name if you haven't seen him. I call him my little man. And I hope and pray he stays where he is for awhile. Her WBC is high. So they are trying to figure out what is going on. Thanks to all of you and please keep praying.

Thoughts and prayers coming your way, for all you family. I hope that little man can stay put for a few more weeks at least.

Kandy,
Last week our cousin's water broke at 26 weeks. Her baby weighed two pounds. He was on a ventilator for a couple of days, but is now off and doing very well. The plan is for him to remain in the hospital until term. Sending wishes your way that your little man can stay put in utero for a while, but if he can't, for a similarly happy outcome!

Kandy, how difficult for everyone! I hope that the medical folks can figure out a way to slow down her body and bring this grandchild closer to term. All the best, *susan*

Kandy, our family too recently experienced a life-threatening medical emergency...so I'm tuned into concern and caring, not only for the afflicted, but all affected.
Kandy, I'm wishing you peace of mind and heart as your support your daughter and grandson. And I'm praying for them - not only that they survive, but that they both thrive!
May you all be well and thrive in loving connection.
warmest healing wishes, Stephanie

Kandy, Keeping your daughter and your little man in my thoughts. My SIL delivered at 6 months, and with the help of modern medicine, her daughter lived and thrived. She is now a beautiful 22 year old with no health issues, so even if your little guy wants out, there is still lots of hope for a good outcome. Sending love and hugs to you.
Jane and Mom then.
Jane now.

Kandy, how are things this morning? We're still storming heaven for you, your daughter and family, and your little man.
-
Kandy, I have several people in my life who have had their baby that early and around two pounds, who are now fine. I know that doesn't help a lot when you are the person stressing but try and keep the faith, modern medicine is amazing. Just for an extra boost I'll be saying some prayers for all tonight. He has many people anxiously waiting on his arrival!

Thanks to everyone for all the words of encouragement. I love the pic of Jane. Definitely encouraging. My daughter is hanging in there. She is going to stay on Procardia, hopefully will keep her from delivering. She is still having contractions every 2 minutes but at least she is not progressing to having the baby. So keep the prayers going that she will be able to keep him where he is. It is always overwhelming to me that so many people care so much on this site. This is a great bunch of ladies.

I just saw this today and will add my prayers for your little man to be growing and thriving and not to get here too soon. If he does I hope he will be fine! Hang in there Grandma. How does that sound? "Grandma!" Lots of love to you and deep breaths while you wait.
