Though you may not know Jody, she changed the face of breast cancer support through social media ( #BCSM Community). She was an exceptional human being who worked hard for all of us for many years. Her cancer recurred after a long period and she handled that gracefully and with real smarts born from helping so many for so long.

I knew Jody through bcmets.org and personal correspondence. Others through the #BCSM Community.

She is a friend to so many. I will miss her online voice and am grateful she lives in my memory, Stephanie

GOOD NIGHT, JODY.

Oh no... I became aware of this remarkable woman through Facebook and her own excellent articles, which were peppered with wisdom and amazing insight. She wrote not long ago that she was entering hospice. Jody was loved and greatly admired by so many in the mbc community, and her leadership and kindness impacted so many. Her memory will serve as a blessing.

Stephanie, this was a difficult post to write. Thank you for letting us know.

Always sad to hear of another sister passing. May she rest in peace now. My thoughts are with her family and everyone that loved her.

She sounds like an exceptional woman. May she fly free and at peace and her family find comfort in her memory.

    No. :(

This is tough for me, we had corresponded and talked about working on a project together long before she had mets.

She was a TIRELESS advocate for patients.

    Damn you breast cancer.

I did not know of her but any woman who works tirelessly for our cause has my deep admiration and respect. Sending condolences and comforting thoughts to the ones who loved her. RIP.
