when I opened my account to learn more, I typed everything into the biography part of my profile. I tried finding it on my account to copy and paste here but can't find it to copy. Please read the biography and comment to this post if you can share any information. I was able to copy the bio below rather then retype everything.

  • My mother recently passed away on April 15, 2016 after being diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer almost 3 years ago. U of M said there were spots on her bones. She started taking estrogen pills shortly after diagnosed. This past November she began having fluid building up in her abdomen. She then began chemotherapy along with fluid being drained weekly on her stomach. I flew down to Florida to help her drive back to Michigan in March like I always did. We spent a week together and she seemed fine. We got to my house on St Patrick's day. She spent 5 days and then left to drive to her home. Tests showed the cancer had moved to her stomach and sternum. They then started her on "aggressive chemotherapy" to slow the cancer and abdominal fluid build up. She had one dose of the new chemotherapy. A couple days later she didn't feel well so she went to her doctors appointment early on 4/15. They told her they would admit her until her strength came back. Later that evening she was given some medicine to drink for her nausea. My aunt said she aspirated and passed away that evening. No one seen it coming. It's hard to imagine it would happen so quick. Even though I recently spent a week in Florida with her, I always planned on being with her at the end if possible. On this group to learn more of my mothers unfortunate cancer. Th

    Hi,

I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Condolences to you and tour family. I am nor sure what you would like to do i.e., start a new thread, respond to a post, add to an existing thread, but please go back and edit your op to remove personal info such as email address, last name etc. The moderators discourage posting this publicly (all threads are public and searchable) and may delete it.

If you want to start a new thread, go to the desired forum, caregivers , family etc.for example , and click on the the button that says start a new topic, as you did for this post, and write away.

    Again, please accept my condolences
