Friday will be my 24th and last taxol infusion till who knows when. I am scared to death to stop taking it.. I think I am more fearful of stopping it then I was of starting it. The last few days/nights it's all I can think about I'm losing complete control of my lifedwelling on this. I was lucky and other then some bowel issues and exhaustion the SE were minimal. I will still get h&p and I guess start Lupron shots and tamoxifen. But I'm beyond scared that when I stop chemo sh$t will start spreading again.

Anyone feel like this or am I just completely losing it. Seriously who wants to stay on chemo!! Ugh

First time going off a chemo is hard, but you will feel so much better. Think of the Taxol and knocking it out or down and the H/P keeping it down for the count.

I was terrified first time I went off chemo...Now I look forward to it!

I felt the exact same way when I stopped chemo. When I expressed that in a post here, I was reminded that the drugs I was continuing on, Herceptin, Perjeta, Tamoxifen and Xgeva, are also very effective. Here I am 3 1/2 years later with slight progression and only minimal change in treatment. Wishing you the same!!

thank you so much ladies. My hubby thinks I'm crazy for being scared of stopping chemo, so I'm glad it's not just me that has had these thoughts

Both of you give me so much hope seeing that your are each 3+ years out from diagnosis 😃Wishing you both many chemo free years.

Please think of this as a wonderful opportunity for your immune system to rebound and fight off even more cancer!
