I received a Fitbit Charge HR for my birthday. I'm excited to use it when I start my walks next week. BUT, i wear watches on my left arm, the same side my breast cancer is on. They don't take bp from that arm are so is wearing a Fitbit safe? I plan on asking my nurse tomorrow at chemo but thought I'd ask you lovely ladies as well!

Thanks in advance!!

Hey Lanie...not a silly question. I was advised after I had 22 lymph nodes removed not to allow blood pressure, needle stick on my cancer side. I was also told not to wear a watch or any type of clothing that is constricting (such as top with elastic) either on that side...mainly because of the possibility of lymphedema. So I wear my Fitbit on my non-cancer side.

Thanks for your response. I figured it would have to go on my right arm, which will be weird, but doable. thanks again!!!
