Possible liver mets

a ct scan for pneumonia showed possible liver mets. I am thin 110# on a 5'3" frame. I have had some pain in the area. Can you tell me what symptoms you have? What can I expect from onc.? Has anyone done ablation?

    Hi Rachel

    I was dx with liver mets 2 months ago. My liver was very swollen, extended & painful. Cat scan showed innumerable liver mets.

    I think if you only have a few mets, ablation is a possibility. Hopefully someone else will come along with more info.

    Are you on chemo? I'm so afraid to go back on chemo and have that be my life until I die. So sad.

    yes, I also am not thrilled about chemo again. Definitely did not have any other options, unless I was ready to quit tx. I had 8 dose dense the first time. I have had 3 infusions of Taxatere, in the last 2 months. I will have a CAT scan in 2 weeks, see what has changed. My liver #s have been going down. Then 3 more infusions of Taxatere. After that, I have no idea. I am hoping for some time without chemo, grow some hair & do those things that we all say we are going to do if we have terminal Cancer. I actually pulled all my IRA $ out. Maybe too soon, but who cares !

    Are they going to do a liver biopsy
