Happy and grateful to see another spring!

When I was diagnosed with mets, I was many years out from primary BC. Shocked and scared, I had no idea if I'd make it until the next spring. That was over four years ago!
Today, thanks to modern medications for allergies, arthritis and--oh yes--the Big C, I could take a meandering walk in my neighborhood to enjoy the buds, blossoms and birdsong. I have never appreciated them more.
Here's to life!

Hi Tina2,
Asparagus, iris, columbine, lilacs, mating birds, sunning lizards, corned beef and cabbage.
Who would have guessed we'd be here for all this...
My 25th spring with advanced breast cancer.
Miracles are possible, but by their very rarity, can't be anticipated or ordered up.
Each of us already a miracle, life is a miracle, as is death.
A friend told me yesterday that when her beloved sister was dying she said, I love my body and care for my body and this is what my body needs now.
May we all be granted the strength to weather life's storms and winters. May we see spring again and again. And greet those we love with enthusiasm & joy, recognizing their miraculous lives too.
Sorry, just had an attack of spring fever.
well wishes, all, Stephanie

Yes. I have to say the simple things in life like nature seem to touch me deeper then ever before. Great post. So many miracles surround us. I'm getting better seeing and feeling them.

A St Patrick's Day cheers to life! I can celebrate that even if I don't do beer. The azealas are about to flower, tulips and magnolias are out in force! Lenten roses are swaying in the breeze.. life is sweet. I am grateful to be here too. I wasn't sure at Christmas that I would be able to see Spring. Now I am looking forward to the rhodies bloom!

Tina2 ~ Thank you for the reminder, life is good! I'm starting my fourth year and couldn't be happier. Everyone that has replied before me is such an inspiration to me. Thank you for letting me be a part of this community.

awesome, Tina! Life is good.
I just read a link LTS posted on another thread...your post and that link helped me to think a little differently. I have been bitter for so long about bc. But maybe, just maybe, life can be more enriching with this disease. Not making light of all the pain and suffering of so many. Just trying to grasp on to the beauty of life. I always thought I appreciated life before bc. The sun seems a little brighter these days. A little warmer (not just from climate change haha!). The cherry trees blooming. The sweet smell of cut grass. What a blessing.
Thank you for sharing!

Yes! Loving the colors of flowers popping up along the roads and everywhere I look. The hummingbirds are enjoying them too! And I'm enjoying the hummingbirds!
-
Joining in joyous praise of Spring! And to many more spring days for all of us!
