Hi. Ive been in treatment in abraxane since November and i feel worse after each treatment. I usually sit on the couch or ourside fir a couple days after treatment snd I feel terrible. I subset of instead is shutting if I should exercise, exercise through the pain and discomfort and that will help my body feel better. Rest or exercise?

Personally, I would pamper myself. Allow yourself downtime. Find some fun, quieter activities. Binge on good Netflix shows, read good books, retail therapy even if it's just online, find a new recipe and try it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with going easy on yourself.

How often are treatments? You might want to try mild exercise. Walking is good. I have learned a few tai chi moves which I like. I don't think you need to work through any kind of pain just to exercise. What's the point? Be good to yourself. It's okay to do that

I always felt bad the first three days after AC. I wouldn't push myself. I tried to walk or shuffle most mornings before it got too hot. I would stop at the pond and do some stretches before turning around.

Now on Ibrance and xgeva, it helps to walk about 30 min. I have a walking buddy but I don't push it. If it's a bad day and I get slower and slower, I just stop.

    Listen to your body.

I find fresh air is always a plus, so I am glad to see that you sometimes sit outdoors.

Sometimes it does make sense to "sweat out the toxins". Have you tried it? Don't be too hard on yourself - a walk with some fresh air might just do the trick. Maybe it just helps mentally - the feeling that at least I did something maybe only helps my self esteem.

    Hi Lvin…

You've received good advice here. Listening to your body is probably most important during chemo. No need to push yourself if your body is screaming "NO!" But fresh air is always good, as KSkier says, even if it's just walking a few feet to that lounge chair:)

    Be extra kind to yourself!

    Rose.
