My mom has been on Faslodex and BKM120 (a clinical trial, she could have been getting placebo BKM) for like 1.5 months and she has had progression in the liver (she has bone/liver mets).

All of the prior hormonal drugs that she's been on have worked for at least a year+ so it sucks that this one isn't working... Maybe it didn't kick in get?

Is adding Ibrance to the Faslodex a good option now or maybe Faslodex+Xeloda? We see oncologist soon but I wanted to see if anyone here has suggestions

Both my mom and I are Stage IV. She is on Faslodex, Ibrance, and Xgeva. It causes some side effects, but over all she's doing pretty well.

Sorry about you and your mom. That's horrible you both have to go through this. We saw my moms onc today who wants to put her on Abraxabe to kick down the liver mets that grew quickly recently.

Maybe she can give the Faslodex another try with the Ibrance after the Abraxabe shrinks the mets more :

Hello12, I'd been on Faslodex for two years (NED) when a scan showed progression. A couple of spots which were barely growing. We stalled for a year, but my tumor markers have been rising so last month we added Ibrance. The data on Ibrance sort of show that it works best in conjuction with something else.

The trial's definition of progression might not mean the Faslodex has failed. You could try supporting it with Ibrance. That's what we've done; no idea whether it is or will work.
