BB - ditto what Katy said. Take it easy
My lump removal is scheduled for 3/18. I have my pre-op appt on Friday. I have no idea what to expect. I guess this is a lumpectomy? ugh.
Also my house needs cleaning & I don't want to.
-
Eileen- I'm still in your pocket. I'm glad the little bastard is coming out, but I also know you are VERY tired of the poking and prodding. Hang inthere.
Go ahead and tear a hunk off of this:
-
PS- just a thought. You are still in treatment. Why not call "cleaning fo a reason"?
They have volunteers who clean houses for cancer patients.
http://www.cleaningforareason.org
Maybe you could arrange to have somebody come if you take a day off after the pricedure

Hi - I saw the posts about vaginal laser, and I wanted to jump in and make a comment and ask a related question.
I saw a segment on that show "The Doctors" about the vaginal laser, one of the female hosts had it done. She did it for bladder control, which it's not meant for, but is a side effect of the treatment. She said that it had helped. But, when I asked my urologist about it, he said no (this is for bladder problem, not dryness), he said we'd to to Botox before laser.
My question is about the medication interaction with Tamoxifen - I have been taking a bladder control medication for years now. It used to be the name brand Vesicare, but I take the generic Oxybutynin now. All my doctors know this, so I just assumed that there was no issue with taking the Tamoxifen and the Oxybutynin - what med were you prescribed, and how did you find out about the interaction?
Thanks,
Lynne

Eileen, I must have missed something about your lump, or else you just posted it is getting removed. Did they ultrasound it or what did they do? In any case, glad you are getting the little fucker out. Big hugs, and tons of positive mojo coming your way.
Brain MRI tomorrow for me, and breast MRI next Friday. Trying to do everything to keep from thinking about both tests. I'm so emotionally fried from cancer treatment, death of ex-husband, I'm kind of numb right now. I don't think anything is wrong, but I'm prepared for anything at this point. Daughter was here last night, crying her eyes out over losing father in law, her dad, and me having cancer all in the same year. I feel so helpless to comfort her, so instead I am doing whatever I can to try to be here as long as I can. MO got MRIs approved by insurance so that's something at least
-
Thinking good thoughts for both of you!
-
Eileen - I must have missed some posts and went back to find them. So u are having the cyst removed from your neck and a lump in your breast?
Please know that we are here for you. When is the surgery????
-
I found a lump in my "good" boob a few weeks ago. I had a mammo & ultrasound done. The breast doc & surgeon both say it's 99% not cancer. They are taking it out and will test it. I also have a stupid pea-sized cyst in my neck that they will pop out at the same time. Good times...
Theresa: You've had such a long road this last year. You've been so strong. I'm sending you all sorts of love.
Anyone heard from Sharon?
-
Theresa: Love from me, too.
Lovelilly: Whenever I have a concern about drug interactions, I do two things. Google it and call my pharmacy and ask them. (I think they google it.
Eileen: I will be thinking about you on the 18th.
-
Lovlilynne, the drug I was given by urologist is Myrbetriq (mirabegron). I checked the interactions on drugs.com, but there are other sites that show this interaction. You can just google "drug interactions" and you will be given a choice.
Eileen, may the time go by quickly for you, so you can put the 18th behind you.
-
Thinking positive thoughts for you Theresa and Eileen. Hang in there ladies!

Sniff.... The wind killed my greenhouse. The previous owner left it stocked with growing tomatoes. It was cheaply made, and a bit of an eyesore. It can't be salvaged because most of the connectors are broken.
Waaahhhhh
-
Bummer about the greenhouse. I've been debating getting one, but with he winds we get here, you pictures just ended that debate. Option 2 would be to use the screened in porch, which DH is planning to convert to a 3 season room. I think that'll have to do.
Eileen, Keep us posted on how things go. I hate all of these lumps and bumps that pop up and where they take our minds!
-
Oh, no!
-
I had it checked out. No way it reasonably could have been repaired. So a guy came and took it. All gone. I'll use the footprint for a veg garden anyway.
-
New beginnings!
-
well got my brain MRI done, that was brutal. Felt like I was wearing an astronauts helmet. Only thing I got out of glancing at the pictures is yes I do have a brain. I figure I probably won't know anything until next week
-
Hang in there T. In your pocket while you wait.
-
Katy - we need to plan a greenhouse raising party!
-
Yes, T. Ditto. What E said. I know it will feel good when you get the all clear. But the waiting. Ugh....
E- I won't be replacing it. But we don't really need a reason.... Maybe a Fall Cleanup? I feel bad because Ksusan cleaned it out and it was a nasty, gnarly mess. It would have been so much easier to clean if the structure had not been there.
Anyway, my house is open for non work party events as well. I think the blooming of the wisteria should be celebrated, for example.
Sloth and I are planning to drive down to Arrowhead together. And take in the scenery. Let's get this party started.
-
It wasn't hard to clean it, and now as you say you have the footprint to plant in.
Theresa, I'm glad that's behind you.
-
Hugs to you Theresa as you await your results. I can't imagine a brain MRI, the breast one is tough. Great your insurance approved, your doc sounds like they are so vigilant. Mine only wants the mammo every 6 months but she said OK for bone density scan, thanks for the idea. And it sounds as if you need a relaxing vacation.
E thinking of you, I'm sure the 18th can't come soon enough.
Katie sorry for the greenhouse. The garden photos look so nice and enjoyable.
Does anyone get annoyed with peoples nice comments on your hair? Geez sometimes I just want to scream.
-
Maryellen-Yes!!! I think I look like a poodle snd everyone keeps saying it looks great and thick etc. it's almost all grey now but it is very thick. I don't feel like it's getting any longer and there are no bangs. I suppose I ought to be grateful.
-
Theresa...I've had a few MRIs and the brain one was the hardest, maybe it's the anxiety that it's "the brain" Glad that's over with for you.
Thinking of you both Eileen and Theresa as you wait for tests/results.
Katy...oh no about your greenhouse! But now there willbe space for something else great!
I'm very grateful to have hair, but I don't like mine at all!!! I feel like I look like a boy with such short hair, and the AI has made it so thin, my hair was thin to begin with. Doubt with such thin hair I will be able to grow it long again and have it look decent...but I guess at least I have hair...

-
Theresa: I am going to be praying/thinking for you until you let us know.
-
Thank you Allison and all. I won't lie, I've looked at my patient portal today even though I'm not expecting anything to appear there today.
-
Just jumping on to say hi. I have to agree with the "I just love your hair short, don't you love it?" No I don't and sometimes I just want to crawl in a hole because I feel like a little boy not a "stylish" adult like they claim. I'd rather people just say nothing. Not a day goes by without a comment...well intentioned I know.
Theresa and Eileen-Sending my best mojo for good news on both fronts:)
-
Wow! I just went back and read about the gathering at Katys. I had no idea when I saw your post on FB Katy. What a wonderful loving gesture.
I also have a couple wigs, that Polly pony tail and some scarves if anyone has someone in need. I'll check with the March 2016 thread if not. I don't think I wore the wigs more than once and the pony tail not at all.
-
MO called on my way home from work, brain MRI normal, no evidence of metastatic disease. One down! Breast MRI next Friday. I have been extremely pleased with the responsiveness of my doctors and this scanning facility I use. When I had to get my wire placement last January, the radiologist who did it said she was reviewing all my tests and would continue to do so, which gave me a good feeling, knowing the face of the person who was reviewing all my testing.
Pouring rain here, and right now all I want to do is go ride my bike. Guess I need stress therapy, and my bike is it.
Hugs to all my sisters out there, having this place to come to means the world to me!
