JustJean: With all that gorgeous tummy available for petting, no wonder you brought him back!
-
What a love! I would have taken him back too.
-
Handsome is exactly that! He's so beautiful. Love the red in his fur and what a sweet face. Too bad he's aggressive to the 2 females. Hope it's a workable situation.
We have a Siamese mix with light blue eyes, a big muscular cat 12 pounds like a puma. Emmy's a bully and just pesters and intimidates our 2 older tabby's (15 year old brown and red tabby Percy and 12 year old grey tabby Zoey). The two tabby's get along famously and Emmy at age 8 is odd cat out. Sigh.. she's sweet by herself. Hope she mellows with age!
I love looking at all the pictures.
-
Rose, Good to see you!
-
Tabby tummy!
Rose - your cats sound beautiful!
-
I'm being held hostage by this guy.
-
Oh I can hear him purring from here...
-
Hope you don't have to potty😜
-
Caught one of the twins last night. She is totally paralyzed by fear. I have been going in the room & talking to her every 15 mins. Any other ideas or is time the answer.
-
can you get close enough to offer really yummy kitty treats? Have food, water, bed , boxfor her to investigate.
-
have all that for her, she's not at all interested in food, tried wet food, dry food, salmon, chicken. Just stays frozen in the corner.
-
poor baby. I do think time is the answer. I do think you should talk to her soothingly regularly and leave found. Eventually she will come around. You have to be very patient though
-
A small dish of water with a few drops of Rescue Remedy in it? It will relax her a little bit. Maybe a towel or blanket. So sad, bless you for caring.
-
I can't blame BlackKitty for wedging herself in the corner thusly! That's pretty much how both of my current kitties reacted to being in my home, and they weren't true ferals, either of them! Just pissed off at being thrown into a strange environment without their consent. A soft woolie blanket and a bowl of water with soothing tinctures sounds like a good start. And keep trying foods as available. Tuna? Shrimp?
-
I am supposed to pick up my friend from the airport at midnight. I might not make it.
-
Do NOT Disturb!
-
70Charger, Playing soft music might help her relax. And provide a hiding place. Box on it's side with a towel over it might make her feel safer. A lot of cats come into the shelter frozen with fear. Usually they feel safer after a couple of days. We now have a curtain to put over the cage. It makes it dark and safer. Do you know if she's really feral? Or was she just abandoned a while ago? In any case it will take a while.
Is there an animal shelter where you live? Ours loans out traps. You might be able to trap the other one.
-
one of the rescues has loaned the trap to me. I don't know if she is true feral or not. She's scared but not acting "wild" I have given her a crate without the door, hope she uses it. Fingers crossed I get the injured one.
-
Just took my cat to the vet. He has an ulcer on his eye and needs eye drops 3 x day for a week. He also has a cone and is running into everything. Poor guy. He weighs 16 lbs now. We're going to try to help him lose a pound or two.
-
ouch😢
-
We have success!! Kitty #2
-
We will be taking them to EHs tomorrow morning. (Humane Society)
-
Kiwi, how are the two sick rescue kittens doing? I've been thinking about them off and on today.
-
They are doing really well, Kathindc! They finally found a mom cat and kittens they could be with and not get pushed out of the way. So they're doing super! The one is a camera hog and so the fosterer said it's hard to get a pic of them both.
-
One of the fosterers has the world's most patient cat, Tygee. She's given me permission to share pics of her little girl with Tygee. Wish I could share one of the videos here...hilarious.
-
Oh what a cute pair! The little girl is absolutely adorable and you can tell Tygee is very patient. Squeeze!
-
A true kiddie cat! Ha ha Our old man Percy (brown Tabby) is the most patient cat. The kids would put him in their doll carriage and wheel him around and he just sat there and purred. That was years ago.. He's still Mr. Mellow and my favorite.
70charger- thank goodness you got the cats to get them the help they need. Good luck. I hope it goes well.
Love the folks held hostage to lap cats!
-
My cats always find a way to make me feel better with their snuggliness.
-
Love the pics. Well done 70 - hoping the poor scared kitties get super love and attention at the Humane Society.
Wren - I hope your cat makes a speedy recovery and that you can ditch the cone soon.
-
How true this is!
