Well...I cried for you, Shutterbug!  Your nurse must've been walking on air all day, getting to give you such wonderful news!  So very happy! And I feel like coming clean about my "real" name...only because we rhyme...Donda & Rhonda...how awesome is that!!!  My Caribbean SIL gave me my nickname...cause he said Rhonda is too hard to remember!

Diana...it IS a good report!!  Shrinking liver mets is awesome & I know the bones will get their eviction soon!  Go Gemzar go!!! Not today cancer...nope!

Becs...Thinking of you & hoping for good news!!!

    Thinking of All...always!!!

Thanks everyone! I'm so relieved about the MRI that I'm hardly even worried about the CT and Bone scan I had yesterday. I think my brain can only take so much worrying!

Ronnie - I would never have guessed! I have a good friend here at work named Ronda (but if you put an "h" in her name she will never let you forget it. She jokingly spelled my name Dhonda for a year after I screwed that up once!).

Artist - Wow! You knew another Donda? That's amazing! Until the internet came along, I thought I was the only one :) And then of course Kanye West's mother passed away and everyone and their uncle was calling me to tell me her name was Donda.

My heart is full of love for you ladies. <3

Omg, Shutter...that's so funny!!!  I was a new high school secretary & sometimes got 2 teachers-Phillip & Philip...messed up. The single L always came unglued if I gave him 2.  I finally told him if he didn't chill out I'd knock the other L out of him. We became good friends after that!   I totally get letting the air out after a clean brain scan. Sometimes you just start planning how to proceed with whatever news is delivered & sometimes, you just want to say...nope...don't wanna hear it!  Hoping we can celebrate ct & bone scans reports!

donda that is amazeballs news! I love how nurses will sometimes share results all clinical. I try to judge the response that's coming by their lead in and I'm always wrong. May you continue with stable scans. This is one time when normal is ok by me😘

A belated congrats to Diana on the good scans. Hopefully the bone Mets will get on board soon, but it sounds pretty good overall!

Got my CT and Bone Scan results via the patient portal yesterday, and there is no significant change. Three cheers for stable! Had another abdominal ultrasound today, but the CT didn't mention anynoticeable change in the cyst, so I'm hoping it has stayed stable too. Next stop: oophrectomy!

    Hello everyone,

I just received my CT scan requisition for next week. I knew it was coming but I wasn't expecting that she'd be looking at my abdomen, and pelvis too.

A little background: I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008, went into remission for 6 years. The cancer came back in November, mets to lungs. My body was scanned and everything came back clean. My oncologist has me on 6 rounds of Taxotere. She is optimistic and has told me that I'm responding to treatment. I guess she sees that in my blood work.

I've had 3 rounds so far so I'm guessing she wants a mid treatment scan? Which I was pleased about because I'd like to know really if my body is responding but now with the additional body parts on the requisition I find myself anxious and my mind is now the opposite of calm.

I keep trying to tell myself that my MO is being thorough and our last appointment was positive. So, I guess I just needed to join the waiting room to find some solace and comradeship.

I have my first ct scan tomorrow since being diagnosed in November 2015. I have kept myself pretty busy all week so I wouldn't dwell on it.. But the anxiety and lack of sleep ( my 1 yr was up all night) has caught up to me today and I'm freaking out. I have my appointment with my dr Friday to get the results. I feel like I should expect the worst and hope for the best?!?

    Hi Bosco2602,

Is this the end of treatment scan? I took a Lorazapam last night, and I just made an appointment for acupuncture today too, never done it before.

Good luck on your exam tomorrow, wishing you great results!

Don't stress over the pelvic and abdomen CT scan - I've been having them for 8 years and they've all been just fine - it's standard operating procedure both here in Ontario and in South Carolina where I used to live - I always take Lorazepam the few days before the scans and then when I have the onc appointment. I only take half a pill though I am very drug sensitive.

Yes, that is a standard scan. My paperwork calls it"Eyes to thighs." Doc just checks the box, And scanning after three cycles is pretty standard, too.
