INSOMNIACS place to talk in the wee hours

Chevy good thing you didn't have a gun handy
Sorry about your neighbour Patty, she sounds like she must have incredible reserves of perseverence and fortitude to continue to make plans and rearrange her living accomodation.
-
hi Patty, hope the shooting has stopped and they caught whoever.
Mom is doing better. Walked to bathroom and living room without the boot. She is being very stubborn, insists she can do everything by herself. Doesn't want anyone spending the night tonight. She'll probably over do or over stretch and down she'll go! I'm not packing anything until I take her to her doc next Wednesday.
A close up of Evie. She has her moms cheeks when she was a baby! She's starting to stay awake longer. She'll start trying to talk in about 2 weeks. They make so many funny faces while trying to respond to you.
-
Patty, just got back from dinner. Indeed, DD1 BF asked for her hand in marriage. He was sooo nervous. We both gave him our blessings. I told him it would be a honor to have him as part of the family. He showed us the ring. It's lovely. Has made plans to take her to Napa Valley for Valentine's and pop the question. He has already talked to. DD2 and with DS on FaceTime. I like the idea that he has gone about this the old fashioned way. We met him a little over a year ago and I knew he was a keeper then. (Had the same feeling when I met DS future wife.). Now the fun begins!
Smarty, glad to hear you mom is doing better. Saying a prayer she doesn't over do it. Evie is such a cutie pie. Hard to imagine she is a premie.
-
Awwwww. Wonderful to hear that there are still people out there who show respect for his future in-laws and soon to be bride. Bless his heart.
Sounds like he gets along with your DD2 and DS too...what a blessing!! Happy for you Kath. Thank you for sharing.
Ms. Smaarty, good to hear mum is better. Mine is stubborn too!
Patty, your DS2 is so cute. Spunky! Love spunky kids. Oh, and your poor neighbor...so many selfish people destroying other people's lives.
FF, no worries about Ms. CHEVY shooting anyone. She wouldn't shoot a fly.
-
Kath.... Congratulations! Sounds like a super-nice guy! Morning Smarty & Feline....
Loverly...No, I am scared to death of guns... didn't used to be, but I am now..........We read and hear so much of what is going on with the violence everywhere, and I think when you get older.... it troubles you a lot more!
I was thinking last night.... while laying in bed, and wishing SOMEthing didn't hurt.... that wouldn't it be nice if we could just go to "System Restore" or even Defragment our whole bodies? We could pick a place, like maybe 20 years ago, or in my case, maybe 40 and go back to where everything was perfect...... and POOF! We would look the same as we DID, feel a lot better.... have no problems, or if we did, we would KNOW how to fix them better and faster!
-
Kath congratulations hope all goes well for his proposed proposal!
Hah Chevy love the idea of system restore - the only thing I did think was that it would probably mean we would have to deal all over again with all those problems we hadn't yet encountered at the system restore point.
I like the idea of how I looked 10 years ago but can think of some carp (new chit word) I have been through that I would not like to have to deal with again, even forewarned, forearmed and foreanythingelse
I am also having wonderful mental pictures of you shooting flies!
-
Smarty- Evie has such a beautiful head of black hair. She looks SO healthy!
-
Feline.... but we would have a "filter" when administered, to just skip over carp that we don't want to go through again! See? Yes, I know what you mean.
We would have a choice... Like options, on what we would take..... If we had a "plan" then it would be followed.... Only good things! So I'm going back to Wonderland again.....
Wouldn't you just like to go into a system restore machine, and choose what you want your body to look like NOW? Like the Kardashians! And with no "defects" or illnesses.... Like when we were maybe 30!
I'm going to go shoot flies now.
-
Thank you ladies. It was cute how BF got flustered in telling us. He commented that he had it all planned out but it didn't come out as planned. He said he hoped it would go better on the proposal. I told him just to have the ring with him and when it felt right to pop the question.
Chevy, I like your idea but not so much about the Kardashians. All the females look fake. But the thought of a do over is intriguing.
-
Lilgoats this little cutie made me think of you

Sas - Violet is absolutely beautiful.
-
Kathy. Woohoo. Celebrate. !! That rocks. I like the old fashion way. Sounds like a keeper. Don't all parents dream of their children's wedding day. To be able to not only meet but know and like their child's potential mate. Very happy this great milestone is coming to pass for you.
Smarty. Thanks for asking but the shooter is still at large. Said was a domestic disturbance still makes me a little nervous. I like the quietness of our country life.
-
Kath, I found a great wedding cake for DD. What do you think? Yes, it's a cake.
System reset? Yes, if I could go back to this body...
-
Oh look at those legs Mags! My legs have never been that long..... or thin! Or even the rest of me....Ha!
Me and my little Brother.... 1952
I would just like to RESEMBLE that body..... That was my 9th grade continuation dress.... and "hat" that looks more like a bird feeder....
-
beautyiful. Woo hoo. Was that waist size like a dime ? Holy moly. You must had one of those corset things on. Huh??
-
-
-
my ninth grade pictures. Lol. So Long ago.
-
whos next ?
-
oh my msgs. Didn't see that yummy cake and adorable pic of you. Looking great
-
Peppermint! Were you playing Dodge-ball? I LOVED that game.... They called me mighty-mouse! Hah! You look tall! Course EVERYone was taller than I growing up.... I finally reached 5' 1-1/2 inches....
You water-skied?.... I was so afraid of the water! They almost drowned me dead when I was in Camp-fire girls.... We were in a big circle in the pool holding hands.... Went down to the deep end.... I was DROWNING! Trying to come up for air! I was too short for that carp! I kept sinking down under, and they finally didn't SEE me! So I was rescued.... never to play THAT game again!
Then I was "Tort" the turtle.... under a green box, for the water pageant.... Hah!
-
Pretty, cake and pretty Mags and Patty. Chevy your pic disappeared
-
No, I didn't post another one....Just picture a little box, painted green, with a place cut out for my head.... I was on my knees, under the box, crawling around by the pool.... stop laughing! Tort was painted on the top.... and I had a rope tail.
I don't think camera's were invented in those days...........
-
Yes, that was me, summer of 1986. 5'8", 135 pounds. And that was just a speedo, no corset. A year later, I met DH and he started cooking Polish food... Potatoes, butter, more butter, more potatoes. I never struggled with weight before I married him. I was the same size in high school and through my 20's. I was 35 in that pic. I want that body back.
-
Mags, that cake is waaayyyy to pretty to cut much less eat. I would be curious to know the price of that. I think we should refer to you as "Hey Good Lookin".
Chevy, you and your brother look so mature looking for your ages. Good looking family.
Patty, how many other sports did you do? How are the Valentine's plans coming along?
-
chevy. That's volleyball not dodge ball . lol. I am not tall by any measurement. Lol. I am almost 5°1 if I stand on my tippy toes.
Sas. No pic ?
Mags. At least your not saying I want that dh back instead right ?
Hootie hoo
-
True true, Pattycakes. I will take DH at any age (over 18 of course).
Kath, the cake hasn't been made that's too pretty to eat. After all, if you don't eat it, what good is it?
I may have turned heads back then, but now I'm fat and flat. Just glad DH sees me through eyes of love. -
-
I love seeing all the pictures. You all looked so cute. Wow Mag, you looked Italian back then.
