Going in for iron infusion #2 of 2 tomorrow. Spoke to MO on the phone today and he said he was pretty certain I would experience a similar (crappy) reaction to the second dose. He is willing to try a low dose steroid and a little Benadryl beforehand to try and lessen the symptoms but he's not hopeful that it will help. I think his words were 'suck it up buttercup...it will be over soon'. Gotta appreciate his honesty

oh Lee, I'm so sorry! Words fail me.

Andrew moved out on Monday. Although he still has a lot of stuff here and comes here everyday . Hopefully we can rebuild so sort of relationship. I just feel like we both need to concentrate on ourselves at the moment.

I had my mammogram on Monday and the results were all clear. Next appointment is in 6 months. ☺

Bowies eye is finally starting to get better. It will take a while but at least it's improving now.

Theresa I'm really sorry to read about your mum. Hugs to you.

I bought a bra today. My floppy side wasn't really working for me - esp since I'm still so lopsided. Feels weird. My MX was a year ago yesterday.

Sharon, I'm glad things are moving along. I found the in between/limbo stage to be the worst.

Yuck. I dreamed that a routine exam led the doctor or tech to start quietly marking areas of my chest without explanation.

oh Sue and Ksusan- how absolutely terrifying! I haven't had one of those dreams yet but have been having vivid dreams of a different kind. It's like my mind is traversing the entire history of ny life. I'm dreaming about all the people I've either lost (and they are so vividly alive in the dreams- that part is almost pleasant) or haven't seen for decades. Wondering what it all means.

Hoping that doesn't happen again to you two or anyone else around here!!!

Great news Sharon!

No strange dreams yet, I've always wanted to buy a dream book. You may be able to find meanings online Katy. I'm sure vwhen I'm in the waiting for results phase I'll have some nightmares.

Met with BS on Friday and she said to get the port out if I wanted, yippie!! She said MOs have different protocols but it is more old school to leave them in. She wants to do out patient surgery not in the office, I'm totally OK with that.

My lashes are still thinning and my nails breaking😠

Hey Ladies need your experience and advice. I will be starting chemo this coming Friday and the port will be inserted on Tuesday. I was thinking of wearing sweat pants to chemo ( wanted to be comfortable) but what do you all suggest for tops if they need to access the port?

I wore a tank top with a button up boyfriend style shirt over it just in case. I was able to put the tank top on after port installation. I definitely went with no bra which is why I did the two layers.

Okay, San Diego is getting crazy wind. Down the street from my house at the coast one of the weather stations is reporting wind gusts of 58.9 mph!

Kiks, I never wore a special shirt; I just wore cozy clothes, usually a tank or t shirt with a hoodie over it (chemo room was always cold). Hope chemo goes well. Remember that some people skate through chemo feeling good most of the time. I was one of those and hope you are too.

Allison your hair looks great...and so long too! I have a mullet going on in the back, the back seems to be growing faster than the top and sides. Should get it trimmed...but somehow can't do it, it took so long to grow in!
