having fun today? Not! Not a fun morning. Had to take my mom to urgent care this morning, she fell last night. Had X-rays taken, nothing broken. They gave her an ace bandage and a boot to wear for a couple weeks. Hope she is better, my Sister and I are suppose to go on a cruise in 2 weeks. That sounds selfish. Told my sister that I'd cancel mine so she could go. She needs the break more than I do. Mom is almost 90. Mom and her haven't been speaking much since mom wanted gdaughter out. So gdaughter has moved out and now mom is living alone like she wanted. Geez. I'm spending the night tonight.

Have a doc appt tomorrow. Stomach is back bother me. Maybe stress from mom, sister, boob checkup on Tuesday. At least my DS is coming over soon and we're going out to dinner. 3 of us have birthdays in February. He's planning on going back to AU soon.

The sun shining on my face and warming my bare arms and legs. With a lil wind to blow my hair outta my face. Yes spring please please hurry.

Marty. Oh no. Your mom was in the pic right ? She looked good. Isn't there another option so you can still go on the cruise. That's awesome you are going with your sister. Famiky. The good, thd bad and the ugly I guess.

    Amen!

I'm with you Patty. To think I use to live the cold. For the last three years, I hate, hate, hate it. It's gotten so bad that in the summer, I don't turn the AC on until.half an hour befor DH comes home from work. I get busted because no way is the downstairs living area cool enough. He's a snorer so when DS left home we each got our own room.

Something is up. DD2 informed her dad and I that we are going out to dinner Wednesday night with DD1's boyfriend and her. DD1 will not be there. He had DD2 make the reservations. She knows what it will be about and won't tell us. We think we know. I'll let you know when I get home

    my two cents about RO.

I wasn't very fond of mine at first. Felt like he was trying to sell me something. I already knew I needed rads. Anyhow he took my concerns very seriously.

I had to come back three times because he wasn't happy with the lining up on the machine. He then looked in my mouth when I said my tongue was numb. And told me I had nice teeth but he didn't know what he was looking at. After that he became my favorite provider.

I don't see him anymore but would do whatever he recommended now. I probably wouldn't have been sold when I first met him.

I'm glad you're meeting with one and hope they can make you comfortable with your decision

Aw, Spookie, what a beaut! I have a convertible I have had far longer than anyone should have kept a car, so I know how you feel. It's my baby.

Ms. Smaarty, bummer! But, it is good you are staying behind with your mum because you don't know how much time you will continue to have with her. A+ for you :) You can go on the cruise another time. Hopefully, you bought insurance for the trip.

Kath, can't wait. You are talking about the twins, right?

Ms. Spookie, :( 28 years is a long time.

    Cubbie Bear, busy busy bee!!

So my girls tried to brush Mitzy's teeth tonight to hopefully help minimize her stinkiness as she licks herself when she is itching (poor girl can't scratch because momma always stops her in her track).

This is her with the betrayal expression...

then, hiding her face in DD1 's chest.

    Sorry spookie.....................

Loverly, did you start Mitsy on Omega 3 fish oil? About a tablespoon mixed into dry food. Not necessarily teeth that are the problem. If it's the teeth you would like be able to see teeth problem like decay and serious tartar. More likely the biome. Intestinal imbalance.

I did start her on 1000mg Omega 3 capsule right after you suggested it. I have a feeling the smell is from her skin problems (dandruff, several red spots with yellow blisters, hair loss). Tried antibacterial/anti fungal shampoo for over a month with no improvement. She has worsen dried skin instead. I might need to take her to Vet again. We changed food from no grains chicken and peas to salmon and peas last week hoping that it will help with her skin condition. Ah jeez, I think she just squirted as I am typing. Yuck!! Stinky!

Scrolling through a few days of posts as I have been away at a yoga retreat.

Patty- it sounds like you may need some rads treatment. My RO was one of the best during my care, however, I ended up talking to two different ROs in my process. I know that may be hard for you to do. Always worth taking a consult and listening. Our lives and our bodies have to go through all this. Hoping your apt helps you with information around a decision. Hugs sister.

    Patty - Amen.

Both my DH and I got dxed stage 3. Me - BC 2012, him prostate 2014. 2 X stage 3 = stage 6, right? . (This is why DD age 10 thinks cancer is quite normal, like getting a flu). Anyway we both had same RO. He was really nice. DH has to continue to see him. In my case it's the MO that I continue to see.

When I was doing RO It was a 45 min drive each way to the hosp. My appts were all mid morning which was a lighter time for traffic. I had a ritual of listening to a really nice music programme on the drive, bringing a great book, or a letter I wanted to write for the waiting room etc - trying to treat it as a bit of time and space just for me, which in a strange way it was. You know how it is Patty, with a family you are always responsible for so many other people. Going to those daily appts by myself carved out a little bit of time where I had no-one else to be responsible for. If you need to do the RO I hope that you will find not just medical benefit but also some other benefits. XXX

Morning gals.... You guys always come up with good reading! And Feline, that was a good post.... Just take it all in stride, right? You guys are hero's for sure....

I know how you loved that car Spookie.... When DH sold our 57 Chevy..... same thing....! But he quit working on it, putting different transmissions in it long ago... everything was chromed, upholstered, polished and looked beautiful.... I didn't like going 1000 miles an hour down the highway with the car fish-tailing all the way.... WITH our Daughter's in the back-seat, but at that time DH didn't have 2 brain-cells to rub together....

Thank God he grew up before he killed us all... I loved the car... unless I was in it.... So he sold it to his Nephew.... Now I do all the driving... Just safer that way......He just turned into something wild and crazy when he got into that car! I should go slap him right now! For putting us through that! Another thing....... drinking plays a huge part in our lives.... but when we are young, we tend to think it is normal, and we accept it.... When you are raised around drinkers, that's just "life".... but when you can see life beyond those consequences you become your own person, and live life the way YOU choose to! Dang! I sound like a ...... a prophet or something! Take heed girls.... I might make some sense someday!

Funny how going through some "stuff" like that gives you different perspective .... all things in life shape us into who we are today.......

Orlando Daughter sent me this .......

chevy. - boys and toys. Ugh. Dh has a '69 camaro all decked out. He likes to take it to the drag strip which I am fine with. Just don't race on the road I remind him. Yes he always went faster then i would like when the boys were little and riding with. I remember when ds2 was only 3 months old we all piled in and drove 5 hours to a car show. I didn't think it was gonna be a good trip. But the loud rumbling of the car put ds2 right to sleep. Was a great trip. Dh also likes to go on this classic car cruise across the US called the power tour. I have never wanted to go. But dh packed up ds1 when he was 3 and he took him with for a week trip without mama. I enjoyed the break and they made great memories. Dh installed a video camera and we watch those videos and laugh often. Then a year later he took both dss for the weeks trip. One was 4 the other was only 1. Dh said changing ds2 diapers in the men's restroom on the run was the hardest part. Not many dads would have taken that on. But they both wanted to go and e hadn't yet learned how to tell them no. Lol. Dh is a great dad.

a friend invited me to a pinot's palette event tonight. They serve wine and mixed drinks while they give you s painting lesson. Walk away with a cool peice of art, s good time and a buzz. I don't like wine or painting but it still sounds like fun. I guess I could be designated driver. Anyone else done this before ?

Patty, it is fun. I didn't drink but they had soda and water too. I'm at DM so will post a pic later. I can't paint to save my life but it turned out pretty good.

Yes we both got the ins. Stayed with mom, she did fine, I didn't sleep so well.

Spookie, my DH had a 66 mustang that he drove. I didn't like driving it, was very uncomfortable to sit in. When he sold it, it went to New Zealand
