Susan- love cardinals. Used to watch them at the birdfeeder back east where I grew up. My mothers fav bird and always think of her when I see one.
Taken here by another person at bird sanctuary down south. Her name is Pam Barnhart and she is commercial photographer. This one looks like a painting to me.

My shore home is about 1/4 block from a Wild Life Preserve......birds galore............every kind you can imagine...................loved it..............will be no more after Feb.26th.........
-
Ducky, crap! I wish I could have bought that house from you, i would have kept it much the same! is it too late? I can muster some cash, but only about 100,000. Is it okay to live there in the winter, or too harsh? You can even leave all your stuff, and stay with me in the summer! We can have some fun!
-
Wow.........Tomboy......that sounds like a great plan.............to answer your question......Pa. And Jersey are expecting anywhere from 6 to 18 inches of snow this weekend...................winters here are ugly............it would be the opposite........Ca. In the winter, and NJ in the summer........my birds, my pool, and a lake right out front to take walks around.........2 times around is a mil

Ducky, can you repost some pictures? Front back sideways? inside and out? My man wants to see.

DUCKY!!! AMAZING< BEAUTIFUL<STUNNING!! I just sent you a PM, I wouldn't give it up if I was you, either! Did escrow close, or what? I am going to call you about this! I can so imagine you there, kids there, memories...that house looks made for memories! Then, I would be closer to you, AND Blondie too! (I LOVE to drive!!)
-
Tomboy......we make settlement on Feb. 26th........sad thing is I could have gotten much more for the house in the Spring or Summer..........and living there all year would be boring.......it's like a ghost town.....the entire Jersey shore is...........it's really a tourist area.....vacations etc........but many of the people in my area are full timers......
When my husband was alive we went down summer and winter.......in the summer the kids would come, but inthe winter we would go down just the 2 of us........he loved it.............by the way that dining room set you see is 100 years old........it belonged to my grandmother, then mother, then me.....when my mother died all her furniture went to the shore house because we had just bought it........the only room that was not hers is the family room..........I bought all that furniture, but everything else is hers.........her house just went to the shore house...............sad, but it is what it is...........
Trust me.....after living in Ca., and their gorgeous year round weather most would not want to come to the East Coast, unless you like cold, snowy winters......LOL......even. Philly is cold......we are waiting for the blizzard as I type..........
Ask Shorfi, Blondie, Jersey girl, and my other East Coast neighbors.....haha...... -
see, but then I could see you all!
-
That is true..........................
-
Blondie, Sandy, thinking of you and praying...............God bless you..................Know it's hard, been there with too many,
-
Blondie..........we are snow, snow, everywhere......stay safe sweetie.............
-
Morning Blondie! Hope you are staying well and warm!
Morning all! Ducky, I love the pictures of that beautiful home! I think I could just stay THERE and never leave again.... I also have a fan, just like the one above the bed ! I have sprayed it several times, and have it hanging out in one of my gardens now!
-
Ok, imagine all the snow as white sand. Thinking about you.
-
-
-
Ducky and Blondie - thinking of you in all that snow. Ducky just said a prayer for your summer house. Not sounding good down there. Hope you are safe at home with family there to see about your needs in this icky weather.
-
Love the shore house pictures! A little cold right now for the pool but can imagine the kids jumping in and how much fun has been had there! My excuse for staying in bed all day is chemo fatigue but honestly, I wouldn't have ventured out my front door today. Best thing I ever did was get my husband a snow blower that was too big for me to handle! LOL! Saying prayers that everyone is staying warm, comfortable, and safe.
-
Lady bugs tats are blondies favorite. She has several
Blondie are you up to telling your ladybug story?
-
thanks ladies.............Blondie use to go to the same area where I was.....the plan as for her to come down before the house sold...........now even I won't be going...........oh well shit happens, right...........
Hope your doing better today girlfriend ........was trying to make a plan to see you, and now this crap happened.....ugh....
