I feel I little disheveled today

That bad huh, Susan? Is this your your chemo week or is it because the busyness of the holidays is now catching up with you?
-
chemo week ...starting to feel better now
-
Love you guys...........
-
Susan, you are my heroine.
Love you too, Ms. Chevy. Is Mr. G better?
Rose, if you are reading this, I hope that your doc shows you compassion.
Just finished giving Mitzy a bath and my lower back is protesting. The girl fell asleep while I was looking for hot spots on her skin to put on medicine. Took her to the Vet this morning because she has been loosing crazy amount of hair- enough to knit a sweater. The vet gave her some oral steroid for the itch and told me to continue to put topical antibiotics on her. I also got some conditioner from the vet. She has severe dry skin that is causing her to scratch herself often. Oops, I should have given her a bath every other week not every week(but she stinks if I go more than a week). But, the shampoo is mild one with oatmeal and aloe Vera.... My OCD has really been challenged.
-
loveroflife, can you give a dog a bath in Epsom salts. It helps my itching, but I not drink the water !!
-
Susan- glad you are feeling better. Wishing you better days sister.
-
Rose - we didn't get a chance to get to know each other, but from the posts I have read...you are surrounded by lots of love and prayers! Big hugs to you!
-
Yes Deb..... she is.....
And Loverly, Lacee had such a problem with hot-spots.... I DID get her the medicine at Walmart, and put it on her all the time.... but it really hurt my fingers/hands. I was VERY allergic to it.... so watch for that.... I even wore rubber gloves, to put it on, but then I would play with her, and it was on her skin, and fur, so I kept getting it on me..... My fingers peeled, and got blisters on them......
It helped a "little"..... but never went away.... I kept giving her baths also.... Hope Mitzy does better with it.....
Hi Jazzy & susan....! xoxoxo
-
Loverly, did the vet say anything about her food? Possibly adding some type of omegas to it? What do you feed her?
-
I tried that too Spookie.... I never could find a "cause".... Vets advice and meds didn't help much.... I kept her trimmed and clean, but every time the old spots looked better, she would get "new" ones.... We need to research this........

Chevy you are so right. Bad move on my part. But when they bleed him the bleed me, literally. I was just acting on an emotional level. His story on child support is the story of woe. From a state standpoint it's indentured servitude. Every posting DCS's made they charged 45$. Then they're is interest. Can't see him ever getting out of it. Tried to get an accounting of the real count then the charges. With credit they're are usury laws. i.e limits on excessive interest and loan fees. Without a full accounting can't tell the real story. No clue how usury laws apply to the government. But I've looked at the public record. He started at 18+ and all the payments were made. He's been paying for 18 1/2 years, plus now two years after his youngest turned 18 1/2. The highest when I meet him was 48+. It's now 36+.
When I first searched a couple years ago I blogged about indentured servitude. They're weren't any posts using that term. Now lot's
Granted they're dead beats. But those that pay can be so abused. Hard to understand. Everyone wants to think the worst.. I was so shocked to learn how awful the system is. Wish I had the energy to become an advocate.
The crazy crazy part is the laws in all states(maybe all) allow the state to take away the drivers licenses and ability to register a vehicle. Duh, how can they pay when they have no means to be hired. It just compounds a horrible situation.
Many go underground..
Loverly, yes off a day or so then write a book.
-
Chevy, Please, please, please. 911. Don't be angry with me , but you should have 911'd him. They should have 911'd him at the bar. Sorry, it all happened and you were all so scared. Can't believe they didn't admit him for 23 hour observation. Don't care what the tests said. He had an altered mental status, doesn't matter that he had beer. He had a head wound or head hit with altered mental status. Dangerous situation. Suggest contacting the Ombudsman/ Quality control community relations specialist at the hospital for a review of the case. Can't change this scenario, but can affect the future of someone else being treated in such an egregious negligent way.
Just as an FYI for everyone. After a ems transport, you may receive a bill from the EMS service. It started around 1980. But don't pay it. Turn it over to insurance and if they don't pay. Write on the bill "no money" if another bill call your local county or city council member.

I remember your problems with Lacee. My Aussie always got them in spring. Vet said he was allergic to spring. But none of my dogs have exceptionally dry skin. I feed mostly Science Diet dry food. No canned food, ever. Makes Spookies poo too soft, sticks in her fur.
You can check out Dog Food Advisor for ratings and if you signup for alerts, they will email you any recalled dog food alerts.

Rosie, soory, Managed to piss off even more folks by the governor contact. May not make change for you, but can't conceive Governor Brown won't be pissed that a government contractor fails to follow the state law.
Spookie, he called before I even got off the computer. We just need each other. Plus, overall we treat each other well. Thanks for the note. You were right.
Loverly, Mitsy may need her anal glands expressed. Can be a chronic condition where they have to be removed. It's stinky foul smelly, yet they have just been recently bathed. Check her ears for unusual coloring. Can be yeast. She has stand up ears so this likely isn't a problem, but worth a look. Teeth too can caused an odor. ............ Add Omega 3 to her diet takes about 3-4 weeks to see a result. Great for skin and the coat will be luscious after a couple of months. Same with us LOL. I see, where Spookie suggest Omega's too and a web site.
I recently switched to the dog food offered through Aldi's-- CHEAP. 80lb dogs eat allot, I needed a cheaper alternative. LOve the babies coats. Aldi's offers only one brand. It was a risk, great result. Both dogs coats and trimness are the best ever. They do get run for about 2- 3.5 miles a day. But that has gone on for years. The quality of their coats is amazing with the Aldi brand. Schatzi's near 9 now, she looks the best ever. Dini too. Just convinced myself to never switch. They glisten. Their ears are a mess now though b/c they dived into and crossed the canal b/c they saw a cat. What a mess. Car was a mess too. Donnie cleaned it all up.
Susan, Hugs, chit. You got grit girl.
-
sas so y'all made-up ? Nows the good part right? Makeup esex is the best. Sometimes worth starting a tiff. Lol. A tiff meanings disagreement not a stiff. But we'll I guess a stiff never hurt anyone either.
Susan. Sorry your having such as hard week. Youve been on chemo a long long time, right? You are such a trooper. Hang in here.
Loverly - ouch hot spots hurt our babies so. And they just look horrible.
Jazzy. How was the concert ? You know I need details.
Hootie hoo
-
Anyone still up? Can't sleep.
-
I'm up, Deb. Can't sleep either.
-
I'm up but it's time to go to bed. I'm on the West Coast so it's only 10pm here. I hate not being able to sleep.
-
Okay --------no more comments re:Rosie on my part.
-
I am still up Can't shut my mind off. Coming down off prednisone isn't always easy. Keeps me up a few nights.
Hope Rosie is peaceful tonight.
Actually Hope all who are suffering tonight find peace and comfort. And when we finally sleep, I wish we all have beautiful dreams
-
hoping everyone gets some rest tonight.
