Happy Holidays to all, especially to Patty
-
Yay Patty, great news getting sprung for Christmas. Enjoy DH and DSs. Now take it easy.
-
so patty's home. Where's Rose?
Got some wallpaper down and cut out 2 dresses. Now off to DD house for a couple hours and a little Christmas with MIL
-
Rose is at home. Said she'd be enjoying the holidays with her family and be back in a few days.
Yippee! Patty is sprung.
Both kids with fever now. Come on shut eyes. Mama wants to sleep but waiting up for Santa!
PS I have that little secret too. Seems worse now:( Like Buddha belly, flat chest and funky hair isn't enough. Guess I should be glad I have hair! I didn't mind being bald but it was summer and no shaving!!! Got to take silver linings when you can.
-
Thinking about Rose too. I think she is spending precious time with family.
How is Nick doing? I thought about him this morning while I was getting ready for work
-
What happened to Cubbie Bear? Hope Susan is spending sweet precious time with family too
-
Oh Dear Zill !! Ah don't catch what the kids have. You take care.
Ms. Chevy, I picture your roof will be like this in the spring...
or this...
-
OMD you ladies have been busy! We went to early candlelight service and then I wrapped DC's gifts while she is still at church. I think she was singing five or six services. Oh wait, I took a picture, I know you like pictures.
Took this before choir came in, we have about 100 choir members singing, they don't all sing all the services.
I still have pies to bake. I didn't make the crusts tho, but I have a fried who bakes a bunch of pies at the high school home ec kitchen, and she made a couple of crusts for me.
Yay Patty for getting sprung! Enjoy your Christmas with DH and DSs. No, we didn't move around at all. DH got out of the Air Force after 8 years so he could pursue a career in computer programming. I did enough moving around as a Navy brat. But you're right, he is a keeper.
Well I better get those pies baked. Y'all have a awesome Christmas, ya hear
-
Merry Christmas to all, and especially Patty and Rose. Enjoy the time with your familes.
-
A Mom's dream. The kids got engaged on the 23rd. He asked her at their favorite place in a special way. The ring is beautiful. Sparkly. Love sparkly. It's a style that's popular now. Not a derogatory. Love style. It's so pretty. They sand bagged me kind of. I walked towards Jamie to give her a hug. Steve says " Let me Introduce you to my fiancée" I stopped dead in my track. They thought I didn't hear. It was so lovely. She called me Mom. I hugged her harder. What a beautiful moment. She has know idea what those words meant. God bless her. I tried to post the pic from fb. It was a magical night.

I can't see it, Sassy
-
-
oh, yeah,,,,,
-
Spookie, are you taunting poor, old Chevster, on Christmas Eve.....?
-
-
Sassy: Congratulations on being a MIL to be! I guess that is the best Christmas gift you received
-
Eeyore, This woman and her family are a dream. For me, about 6 months after being married, I called my MIL Mom. I sensed there was a space. She turned and said " I'm not your mom and you will never call me that I'm not your mom". They're was venom in her words. My dear Greg was the kindest person in the world. Never had a clue how he came from his parents or how he was related to his siblings.
Eeyore MERRY CHRISTMAS
To our lurkers: A special blessing. You follow us. For your own reasons you choose not to post. I understand this. You may think you don't blend in, but yes you can. Post. It's a reach out. You know well, we will throw our arms around you. You have seen it happen.
-
Ms. Sas, OHmy goodness!!! What a gift (I am still smiling).....rejoicing with you. Wish I could give you a real big tight hug! Still smiling....Merry Christmas indeed!!
-
Sas, congratulations to you and your son!
Have a Blessed and Merry Christmas all you fine ladies.
-
Loverly, and Kathy YEs such tight hugs, I kept hugging Jamie................. so great........ so important..................She said. She was now my Daughter. Can you believe that? She's been a treasure since the beginning.
-
Off to bed
Susan sweetie, I meant those words to come to you now, If it didn't happen, what you said in the past, was so significant that I put it in the topic box. I know you believe. Breathe in and.....................
-
MIL to be, congrats!!!
Hole, for once, no. Glennie is fed up with this too. Sas would be too, but she's still floating. Supposed to be 84 tomorrow.
-
Thanks Spoookie, Yes floating, so much fun. What are we up set with. Heat & humidity? Off to bed seriously............................
-
-
Ah Sas - Congratulations! What truly wonderful news. Happy Christmas.
-
Congrats Sas
Yes ac on here too. DS got a sled but he knows it doesn't snow until Jan.
Happy Christmas!
-
MERRY CHRISTMAS gals!
Okay Spookie... it is 22 degrees here right now... supposed to snow.... today and tomorrow.... that's okay.... it's Christmas!
And Sass is on cloud 9.... Congratulations pre-MIL! I became engaged too, On Dec. 23 1956! Got married about a year later..... So I know it will work!........... We were just kids.... 19 years old.... but all we had was each other.... My family had moved away, and his family were so wrapped up in their own problems, we were pretty insignificant...... But growing up together, and making your own life was the best teacher of all. .....
Morning Enerva! Hope you doing good..... I have to get stuff ready around here.... Janie coming over about 10:30 for our Christmas Brunch, and then opening our gifts....
My new little neighbor came over! Vanessa is 52! She and Mark are both professionals, but she is just a kick! So much fun to talk to, and she acts just like my own Daughter's! We were talking about the guy they bought the house from, and how he bragged about the fencing he put around his front yard, and how he told me it was over $10,000....and she said "OH HE'S FULL OF SHIT.... HE DIDN'T PAY THAT MUCH FOR ANYTHING!" And I laughed so hard I almost fell off the chair!
So she has a fun sense of humor..... glad she and her husband are our neighbors!
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY! I hope ALL of you are feeling better.... Rosie, Mags, Peppermint and Blondie..... !

Being from Colorado.......................
98% OF AMERICANS SCREAM BEFORE GOING IN THE DITCH ON A SLIPPERY ROAD. THE OTHER 2% ARE FROM COLORADO AND THEY SAY, "HOLD MY DRINK AND WATCH THIS."
Now, you're from Colorado if... You eat ice cream in the winter. It snows 5 inches and you don't expect school to be cancelled. You live above 5,000 feet, sometimes Summer comes on Sunday and you can go fishing! You'll wear flip flops every day of the .........year, regardless of temperature. (uhhhhh..... NO!~~~) You have no accent at all, but can hear other people's. And then you make fun of them. "Humid" is over 25%. Your sense of direction is: Toward the mountains and Away from the mountains. ..
You say "the interstate" and everybody knows which one. You think that May is a totally normal month for a blizzard. You buy your flowers to set out on Mother's day, but try and hold off planting them until just before Father's day. You grew up planning your Halloween costumes around your coat. You know what the Continental Divide is. You don't think Coors beer is that big a deal. You went to Casa Bonita as a kid, AND as an adult. You've gone off-roading in a vehicle that was never intended for such activities. You always know the elevation of where you are. You wake up to a beautiful, 80 degree day and you wonder if it's gonna snow later.
Every movie theater has military and student discounts. You actually know that ** South Park ** is a real place, not just a dumb show on TV. You know what a 'trust fund hippy' is, and you know its natural habitat is Boulder, Aspen, Crested Butte, Paonia, and Telluride. You know you're talking to a fellow Coloradan when they call it "Elitches," not ""Six Flags." A bear on your front porch doesn't bother you. When people back East tell you they have mountains in their state too, you just laugh. You go anywhere else on the planet and the air feels "sticky" and you notice the sky is no longer blue.

funny Chevy. Current humidity 96%. Ugh
