I can do Chicago! My daughter is there so that's double the fun.
Allison, your MIL sounds horrid.
It looks like Christmas was moved to my place. I'm not sure what Alan was thinking - except that he REALLY wants to cook in his new kitchen. There is no way any cooking or any anythinging can go on in there in it's current state. My house is small, dining area is going to get mighty cozy!
-
oh my gosh, maybe we can seriously do a Chicago thing! I am game, just give me about 4-6 weeks advance notice to get reasonable airfare. I'm ready for a weekend of girl time and shopping and eating
Eileen, I like cozy, your place should be fun!
Herceptin almost done for the day, and on to partying at 10:30. Three more to go. Woohoo!
-
Chicago would be nice, as I'm deathly afraid of flying.
Also, as an alternative to Chicago the suburb of Schaumburg might be nice - a little less crazy than Chicago, lots of restaurants, hotels, and there is the Woodfield Mall.
-
I am totally in for a Chicago get together, and a West Coast get together, and heck, even a Broadway play in New York. I love traveling!
Herceptin done, now onto the mimosa!
Happy holidays to everyone, hugs and big sloppy kisses, you all have been my lifeline this past year, don't know what I would have done without you!
-
BB, I like the idea of the suburbs

Why am I on the internet on Christmas Eve? Just missing loved ones who've passed away. Much cheered up by everyone's sharing about hair and boobs. Also thankful for the solstice and days getting longer now instead of shorter.
I hope everyone has a peaceful Thursday and Friday whatever your traditions are.
Thank you everyone for your support, courage and sharing this past year. There is not one person on this thread that I don't consider amazing.
-
Neverthought- I'm here too, so you're not alone. Missing my mom terribly today.
But I'm hanging on and will get through this weekend. I also thank all here and appreciate your support and friendship throughout 2015. Which, except for all of you, sucked in a big way.

We are on here because nobody gets it like our sisters. I wish I could Star Trek warp us all to one location for a hug and a cheer!
-
I'm here too! DH is down at the church directing parking for the first service and I promised DD I'd take her to the park to swing before we go to church. She doesn't care that it's 48 and windy outside. Crazy kid!
Interesting though...we went to the store before the park and she was putting on some make up (I allow a little on special occasions) and doing her hair on the way. I looked over and saw a young woman. She's only 14 but she's so grown up. It made me sad and proud at the same time. Then I got scared for her. Scared that she may have to go through this crap one day on her own or God forbid, she may have to deal with mine coming back. She's been robbed of so much this year and I hope next year is better for her.
I haven't told her about my MILs biopsy yet. She LOVES her grandma so much and I don't want to worry her if it turns out to be benign. Ignorance is bliss for now!
Merry Christmas to all my beautiful, strong, and fun BC sisters!

Jack's auntie brought him antlers but they are too big. We're calling them his angel wings. Is it just me or is this adorable?
-
Merry Christmas to all!!! I would love to be part of any travel get away. Have a great holiday and a happy New Year!

Its Christmas! Best wishes to everyone! I'm laying low today watching movies and wearing my pajamas. Had dinner with friends last night- raw oysters, wild salmon, veggie gratin and beet salad with goat cheese and arugula. We decorated a ginger bread house and I ate too many gummy things in the process.
Tomorrow ill make homemade chicken and dumplings for a second Christmas with friends. I haven't had a Christmas with family in over 12 years but I can still remember some of the stress and discomfort from Christmases past. My sympathies to those who have to endure unpleasantness during this time. Good thing you're all strong women
Yesterday was tacky sweater day at work so I donned a giant Christmas sloth t shirt. Right after I took this pic I went at my curly mop with the scissors, it's better but now I need professional assistance.
-
Cute, Sloth! -
Merry Christmas to all celebrating today! The holidays have made me reflect a lot these past few days. I had my mastectomy the day after Christmas last year. I'm thankful to have made it through the blur of this year and hopeful for continued healing and good health for myself and all of you. You all help keep me sane, so thank you! Hoping you all enjoy some special time with family/friends.
Linda..you cut your own hair? How brave! There's no way I could do a good job myself and look decent! Love the shirt...cute

Merry Christmas, Everyone. I would be up for a Chicago get together and I would be happy to bake something! I am planning some trips this year during school breaks and I have to have Stage 2 somewhere along the line but if I am free, I am there!
-
Have a wonderful, peaceful day, everyone.
Looking out my kitchen window this morning.
-
For me Christmas time is always very stressful and I'm looking forward to January. It can't get here soon enough.
We had an ugly Christmas sweater day at work too, last week. Some sweaters were quite outrageous and we had some good laughs. I'm the one in the green sweater, looking like a Christmas tree. My sweater also had small bells attached, so I was jingling all the time and probably getting on some of my coworkers' nerves.
-
I'm very grateful for all of you March and April women!
-
Merry Christmas, all. It is amazing that on Xmas Eve/Day we all feel a need to check in with our sisters who were so dear to us this year. You all are in my prayers for a wonderful 2016.
I will get with whomever is interested in co-chairing a Chicago suburb get-together - BB? Anyone else? We'll try to pick a place close to some action and restaurants with lodging facilities that are reasonable and group-appropriate. Then we'll poll for dates. So fun!!!!
Sloth, FYI, your shirt is adorable!
-
Merry Christmas ladies! I am so grateful for each of you
-
Happy holidays to my favorite sisters! Did family party yesterday, and today went to Bucca Di Beppos with daughter, son-in-law and grand babies today, was nice to not cook!
-
Aww….so sweet, Theresa. So happy you get to spend the holidays with the ones you love most!
-
Merry Christmas!
Avmom I love that photo. What a beautiful view.
Theresa you and your family are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing.
-
Theresa that's a smart looking bunch! And Sharon and Katy it's so nice to see I'm not the only one dressing up my pets for some Christmas mischief
-
-
sloth your photos cracked me up!
-
For anyone interested in possibly attending a get together in the Chicago suburbs, please send me a private message. I was kind of thinking April, but am totally open. Please give me your vote as to when we meet, how many nights you'd like to stay, and if you have specific date range requirements or restrictions.
-
Ha! Great photos.
-
Great photos, everyone! Sharon, your dog baby is adorable.
-
Happy holidays to all! I've been mia but thinking of you often. I'm in sunny Florida celebrating Christmas, finally get some beach time. I'm doing really well so far no issues, had a herceptin treatment before I left PA and will have one when I return, only issue is hotflashes. My iPad died and I hated going online with the computer now I have another tablet, I'll plan to catch up and read how you are all doing. Hugs to all💑
