I got good news today! My scan looked great. No new activity, actually no activity. The spots I had before are now lesions. My cancer count went down. Nothing is lit up and glowing! I'm so happy I'm speechless! Thank you for all your prayers and well wishes. I will keep fighting the good fight!!!
-
Chelle, that's such wonderful news! A big (((hug))) and a very Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Jessica, yay!!! I love the good news, and hope you ladies have started a trend that will carry us into 2016.

Jcfree, such good news. So happy for you and your husband.
Chelle, what great news! Did tamoxifen do that for you?
Jessica! That's so awesome. I understand the speechless thing.
50sgirl, I hope your husband's surgery goes well.

Everything that Shetland just said! Great news Jcfree, Chelle and Jessica! Best Christmas gift ever! Lynne, prayers for your DH and wishing you the best at Christmas as well!
-
congrat sJessica and Jcfree!!! What a wonderful holiday season we have been blessed with! Love and hugs to all of you!!!
Artist- I cannot attribute all of the treatments success on tamoxifen, I also take a CBD THC oil. I live in Colorado where marijuana is easily obtained. I take four parts CBD and one part THC. Sometimes I feel high. But it's not an out of control feeling, like you get with alcohol. More warm and fuzzy feeling. It has also helped with my mood swings and anxiety. I'm not real sure what's working, but right now, I won't change a thing!!
-
I think I meant to address the last post to Shetland pony. Ha,ha! Maybe I'm a little higher than I thought

As they say, "If it works, don't fix it."

PET scans in after liver mets & more bone mets diagnosis. I've been doing taxol for 3 months. Seems to be working well. My liver mets are reducing, my pulmonary nodules are gone as well as a lymph node that was popping up. My bone mets are stable. Just watching the brain closely with MRI's for now and will continue on taxol. Getting a lot of neuropathy in my feet and hands, but glad it's working.
Happy Holidays!

Terri, such wonderful news! It is so nice to have some good news around the holidays! I'm praying for us all.
Lynne, I have added you and Dh to a very big prayer chain, that reaches far across the globe. Monday, I am lighting a candle for you. It will burn all day and night. I hope you can feel my love and strength coming your way in New Hampshire. Love to all Chelle.

I'm so happy to read good results! terri...I'm hoping the spots turn out to be benign spots, since they were noticed before, maybe it's that there's been no change that it wasn't brought up. It would be very hard to digest...and requires an explanation!!! Thoughts & prayers.
-
YAY Terri
-
Chelle, Thank you for including my DH and me in your prayer chain. Shetlandpony and artistatheart, Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
I wish everyone good news and happy holidays.
Lynne

Fantastic Terri! As Chelle said and I second, it is wonderful to hear good news. happy Holidays to all!
-
Thank you all for the support and prayers for my DH. He had 9 hours of surgery today, but his surgeons came out smiling, and I gave them big hugs. They think they removed all the cancer. He now has less than one kidney left since they removed the rest. He is in ICU for a day or two. I feel better but am eager for him to start his recovery. That would be the best Christmas gift ever!

Lynn, I'm so happy to hear it!!!!

I started Faslodex and Afinitor in November. The tumour marker has been a good indicator for me for the last 2.5 years. But this time, though the markers are going down, I am not feeling better. Back pain is worse and I am not as stable on my feet as I used to be so back on the cane I go. I had a spine MRI today. I am waiting for a PET scan to be scheduled. With the holidays, it may be in the new year. Thanks gals for waiting here with me.
-
Hanaim,
Hope the MRI comes out well. You just may need to switch meds a bit. Hope you get back on track.
Thanks everyone for the kinds words on my scans. Off to Chicago to be with my family for Christmas. Merry Christmas everyone.
Terri

Hansaim, I'm praying that your increased pain is from healing mets. I have read on another thread that healing mets hurt. I have only three months of Mbc under my belt. I wish I had some comforting words of wisdom for you. But I do have strong faith, and will keep you in my prayers! Love Chelle.
-
Hansam, for what it's worth, I've been having increased pain in pelvis (2 mets there). Had my results yesterday and lo and behold, the scans show regression there. Healing mets can hurt. I know that now.
-
Linda - Great News! Celebrating with you. Hugs, S.
-
I hope that everyone had a nice Christmas! Happy New Year, may it bring us all better health!!!
-
Thanks Jessica! Back at ya! My Christmas was lovely with almost my whole family which is a lot! Better health in the New year!
-
Recently my tumor markers dropped into the normal range, 30.3. We decided to do a follow up CT of my chest, abdomen and pelvis last week. It showed that 3 of the sub centimeter nodules have resolved, two enlarged lymph nodes are normal in size and the remaining 3 lung nodules have reduced by 1/2!
I'm so happy!!!!!
-
OMG, that is fantastic news Terri! I am so happy for you! Whoop whoop, happy dance!
-
Awesome news Terri! It calls for celebration!
