cubbie, you have noo idea. During the " happy birthday " song...apparently I never hit a note right, and change keys 3 times. But I am not tone deaf. I just can't natch a note. My daughter has an awesome voice. I love listening to her. Has lead a lot of worship. Her husband sings great too and plays many instruments. They lead worship together a lot. So cool to see that :)

    Night night all. Sweet dreams

Jazzy, I've heard of xeriscaping, but wasn't sure if that was the right term for what I was thinking of. Where I am, we have the opposite - people are starting to plant rain gardens to provide a place for the runoff to go.

Susan, that must be enjoyable to see your daughter and her husband lead worship together. My sister in law got my brother involved in the choir at their church, kind of neat also.

My....what small feet you have. I presume the table topper is thinner than a quilt?

My DH can't sing either (not that I am great at singing). Most of the times, he catches the notes a few seconds later.

Cubbie, good choice about collecting the leaves rather than raking. I vacuumed the house six weeks post mastectomy and developed cording or axillary web syndrome on my left arm. You are blessed to have that special bond with your nephew

My niece and nephews were born when I was a teenager (my siblings are much older than I am), so in some ways they are like younger siblings to me. My nephew was sometimes more like a pesky younger brother, putting bugs in my hair and being generally annoying. I think we have a lot more fun because of that.

I am still up because I am getting that phantom itching. My non-existent left boob is itching, and it's driving me crazy. Haven't been this itchy since the day after my surgery!

Hi Cubbie, I'm not on often right now, recovering and in between eye surgery. Anyway, I'm two years out now and still have phantom itching. Drives me crazy! I just use a towel or soft cloth then try to get my mind moving off it as fast as I can. It's like I have a nipple itch and I have no nipple! Weird!

I've been trying that trick where you scratch your back instead, but it's not helping. Just going to have to wait it out, I guess. How did the eye surgery go?

May be it's a good thing that you can feel the itch....well maybe not if it's keeping you up. Mine was and is still numb. The only area that was itchy was where I had the draining tubes. Ok sweet dreams. Got to go to bed

Jazzy..... We have a leaf blower, and I blow the leaves against a fence, and then sweep them up, then into a big plastic lined barrel! Take the bag out, and then stomp on the dried leaves, and put them around all your planters.... Helps protect them during the winter. I also dig the dried leaves into the soil in my garden-rounds.

The leaves that fall on our rocks, we just blow off into the street.... and they are picked up every month in the Summer, ending in November.

Or just blow them all in the neighbor's yard....

mema, a couple of months after the BMX I had a horrible "itchy nipple" for about 6 weeks. Of course I didn't have that nipple anymore so nothing to scratch.

The nerve that innervates the nipple comes from behind, goes under the arm then to the breast. I had found the spot after going crazy with itchiness for a couple of days. Just try finding it. Use something that is about 1 foot long and has a pointy end, like a back scratcher or a knitting needle. Start about 1" down from the center of your underarm. Then doing gentle scratching motions, try going on a straight horizontal line towards your spine, the line should go pretty much right over the lower edge of the shoulder blade. You will find the spot even if it might take a few tries, move 1/4" higher or lower on the line until you find it.

As an amusing factor - after the whole "itchy nipple" was gone, I actually found a spot where, if I scratch, I feel like someone is playing with my nipple. Very awkward feeling when that spot is somewhere on your back, not far from the armpit. But it sure helps when you get ... ahem... "fresh".

MWell you are a fountain of knowledge on itchy breast syndrome..lol. I need to try that. I itch under my arm pits. But it's so deep I can't push hard enough to get that deep :(

Thank you Lover and Spookie. Went out to breakfast with DH who had the day off. Stopped at Target for a few odds and ends. Hmmm, what other mischief can I get into!?

So many November babies. What was going on back in February for those families? Lots of snow storms? LOL.

Kathyinc- happy birthday and have fun at Target. You can get into lots of trouble there!

Susan you need to learn how to post pics. It's crazy not too. We have so many here that could help you. You spend lots of time trying to find happy things. Thinking happy thoughts. Looking out for things to store away to make someone happy. How can you resist trying. There is a link in the W&F's topic box that goes to pg 509. A bunch of us put directions on how to copy and paste. There are multiple ways. Don't give up if you can't master one of them.

I ain't going to say nothin' because I don't want to be called a cabbage patch again (although I think can safely say I can picture people trying to find "the spot").

    Just lost my post.

Sas, thank you for the Japanese themed birthday wishes. Very nice of you to do one from Grave of the Fireflies. You do take notes on us, can we say from Name that Movie, hmmm.

Jazzy, I did do way more damage at Target than I intended to. Only one time did I came out with the one item I went in for and that was for a loaf of bread. LOL. And it never helps when DH or DDs go with me.

If you can take Benadryl, it does help with the itch. BS surgeon said I shouldn't have itches or twitches and that was over 3 years ago. Only one who understood was my GYN. His wife had the same diagnosis and tumor size as me.

Chevy, you could be a comedienne. Glad my post went to cyberspace. Did you catch Sas being all sweet and innocent?

    Welcome Seachain!

Cubbie, I lost my gaming labido lmao. Use to be a big gamer, but since DX, or shortly before, I just completely lost interest :( And I had all the time in the world during chemo and after surgery. O'well :(

Happy birthday to the birthday Ladies!!

Chevy is under a blizzard warning. Guess she's bored. GS#1 is a hurricane baby.
