Husband and wife have cancer at same time

Hope everyone is doing well. So on Tuesday, next week, my husband is getting the results of his 6 month ct scan to see if the little 8mm spot on his liver is going to show up. This was found 2 years ago during his surgery for colon cancer. Every scan he has had since has been clear. I am very anxious about this one. The very thought of him going through chemo again or worse, learning that he has had a lot of progression sickens me. My dh is so amazingly calm about this that I have to hide how I feel as it would be so unfair to him for me to be upset And cause him more worry.

Anyway I just needed to post this and get it off my chest.

Hello all

I just wanted to update this thread as my husband had his 6 month ct scan and he continues to be NED! There is still no sign of the met on his liver from the colon cancer and he is clear everywhere else too !

I almost can't believe it! It has been 2.5 years since we were both diagnosed with cancer at the same time. It feels like yesterday that I was so distraught over the possibility that we both might die and leave our children! Now I feel so much more positive about things!

I wanted to post another update! My DH just saw his oncologist today and his most recent CT scan is still clear. This makes it three years of NED with stage 4 colon cancer!! He can now go nine months before his next scan and blood work every three months. I can't believe it! Three years ago this month we received his devestating diagnosis (two months after mine)and I wondered what the future would hold for us and our children. Now we got to see out oldest son graduate from high school this month! I feel so incredably lucky!
