    RMLulu, Thank you. I will NOT be having DH in our home. Hiring the help needed is not feasible and I am not able to care for him 24/7. Did that for 4 years and exhausted myself to the point I was ready to breakdown. He will be in the hospital for awhile. He is the one who is making the decision. His doctor talked with him this morning and the hospice nurse this afternoon. He wasn't quite ready to make the decision. His brother and I are gently encouraging him to accept hospice. I am going to have the boys fly in this coming week. I'd rather they come while their father is alive than later. They need to be able to say goodbye, too. Talking with them shortly although they knew what I was doing today. Awfully weepy right now. Thanks for the encouraging words. DH is ready to transition.

    So sorry, Peggy. I know it will be a comfort to you, and to DH, to have the boys there, so glad they are able to come in...wish we could be there to give those HUGS back in person!

    Last week was big. Got all marked up & prepped for rads. Start mid month. Had first monotherapy infusion on Friday. Side effects surprised me later that evening. Just chills (where's a hot flash when you need one?!)
    I've noticed my B/P has been slowly rising as I progress through the various treatments. Had always been so good in that department. Suppose there is more stress within me than I realize.

    Thoughts & prayers for all of you. Keep healing!

    Dearest Friends, DH is all signed into hospice and all medications except for his Parkinson's and any comfort drugs are being stopped. I thought they would continue with the antibiotics since they are contributing to his QOL. Need for him to hold on for a couple more days until I can get the kids here from out West. Life sucks.

    Peggy. Reaching out across the miles to hold your hand. I know there are no words to easy your pain but hopefully knowing there are so many of us in your corner will give you some comfort and strength to fall back on. Praying all your kids can be assembled in a timely manner. I can honestly say I would go through the last 4 months of my life again than for you or anyone else to go through your current situation.     I remember racing home to get to my brother before he passed. I didn't make it. The airlines will sometimes offer discounted fares if u call to book and tell them of the situation. Praying your children make it home in time Peggy..

    Thank you! Boys are coming in tomorrow and Tuesday. Just need for DH to hold on until Wednesday. The boys and DH need to be able to say goodbye.

    Compassion fares basically don't exist. But when I had to send DH to his mom even faster than our planned visit during her decline. (BC went to her liver). Then kids and I went on original tix but had to extend for the funeral. South West did give us tixs for the original price instead of fare we would have paid buy that day.

    outrunning one son a able to book on Southwest but the other is on Delta with travel insurance. Can't wait for rejected to get here. Just hope DH waits for them.
