mommacat4 - Name the time and place and I'll meet you! We can just PM everyone else and see what we get...

AZ85048,
I am right in the heart of Glendale (a few miles away anyway) I don’t know where you are coming from.
We could plan to meet at Arrowhead Town Center if you know where that is. How about 2:00pm? In the food court. I will PM you with my phone number so we can contact one another at the mall. If that is the opposite direction from you we can meet somewhere half way between us. Please let me know.
Thanks, mommacat4

Hi everyone,
I sent messages to see if any of you would be able to meet tomorrow Sunday July 12, at Arrowhead Town Center at 2:00pm. We can meet in the food court and do whatever from there. I think I sent everyone a PM with my phone numbr. If I missed anyone please pm me and let me know. I look forward to seeing as many of you as can make it.
Thank you, Cat

Hello, just joined the groups and wanted to introduce myself. I live in Phoenix on the West side. My plate is pretty full, I'm a graduate student and working full-time currently, and managed to also have my BMX this past May in the thick of it all. Look forward to meeting you at future get togethers.

Hello shematters, it's good that you found us here. I am sorry you have to be here. I have found that this website is the most supportive and all the ladies here are wonderful.
I hope to meet with you and everyone else again soon. I know school is about to start so people are busy with that. I know my kids start back on the 10th. yeah! !! I mean oh man....
-
welcome shematters to our community. Sorry you are here, but you will meet some amazing, supportive people here.
-
Welcome to shematters. So glad that you found your way to BCO and that you are on your way to recovery. Chemo, radiation in your future? You will find alot of support here on the boards. I am a 5-year survivor and thriver, but still keep up with some of the boards.
Our AZ group is a small group and seems that everybody has such busy lives whether going through treatments and/or just living life. We really should plan a get together for the fall. My August is very busy and we will be traveling most of September. Let's shoot for sometime in October?
-
Joan, October sounds good to me too. I should know what's going on with my life and should have things back on track hopefully by then.
-
Hi Joan and all: I just found this forum and would like to join in on an October event. I live in a small town south of Flagstaff and do get to Phoenix when I need a big city fix and of course to see my docs. Thankfully, am finished with BS now that I am over 3 months post op so can come to the city just for fun/shopping. Anyone out there from Northern AZ?
-
Welcome, magiclight. Yes, we need to plan something for October. Guess we should figure out what days are best, weekend or weekday? Let's get it penciled in on our calendars. I work from home so am pretty flexible. I live in Anthem, north Phoenix area. My house is open or maybe we could all do a little day trip up I-17 somewhere?
-
Joan: I am retired so almost any day works for me. I'd prefer afternoon to evening somewhere in North Phoenix, but could make either work. How about sometime the first week in October before the fall rush gets in full swing? Thoughts anyone?
-
Hi magiclight, Joan,
Magiclight, welcome to the forum. It's great that you can come here and get the support we all need. I think early October would be a good time to plan some time together. I would suggest bowling however some of us have lymphoma and/or neuropathy so I don't think that's a good idea. Any suggestions ladies? I am open to Joan's offer of meeting at her place.
-
Okay, everybody. Let's say Saturday, October 10th. Morning, afternoon, whenever? I have a pool that we can hang out in. Nobody cares how you look in swim suit. We are going to be traveling in Europe for almost three weeks and get home the previous weekend so I hope that you don't care how my house may look at that time either. What time of day do you prefer?
-
Joan: As you are hosting, I think you might pick the optimal time. I expect to see some clutter about here and there so I do not feel to bad about my housekeeping
-
Joan, if you are proposing swimming maybe early afternoon might be a good time. I don't care how cluttered your house may look. I will be there to visit the people not the house. Just let me know if there is anything you would like for me to bring.
-
That sounds great. I would love to come and please let me know if I can bring anything
-
Okay, back in town... rather jet lagged, but if this Saturday works for anyone who wants to get together at my home in Anthem, AZ... let's do it. Swimming might be out... weather has cooled and pool temp will likely be around 80 -82 if that is still warm enough. What time works best for everyone. I am open.
-
Hi Joan:
Double Dang unless it is a late morning event because I have an evening commitment at 5pm about 1.5 hours north of you. I'll wait to hear what other responses you get. Glad you are home safe. If I can't make it to this event then perhaps another time. I live about 20 minutes from Sedona and would gladly host the next get together.
-
Hi Joan, and everyone
I have Saturday penciled in my calendar we just need a time and address. Late morning or early afternoon sounds like a good time for me. Let me know what I can bring. I will text you with my phone number if you don't already have it from when we met earlier this year.
I am looking forward to seeing you again and meeting new ladies. See you there.
-
Hmmm....only 2 of us? Should we reschedule for another weekend?
-
Joan: Yes, another weekend. I do get into Phoenix on occasion and pass right by Anthem. Maybe a more impromptu coffee shop chat might work for you and others.
-
Joan, perhaps another weekend might work better. Things have been a bit hectic for me this week. Thank you. And maybe you will enjoy some quiet this weekend after your travels.
And magiclight, hope to meet you soon too.
-
Joan: thank you for offering the get together and sad that it did not work this time.
-
Ladies! I live near Metro Center and would love to hear your suggestions for support groups, health care pros, etc. Chat me up anytime.
