I am five years out, Stage IIIC and it is so encouraging to read these posts. I too was told I had a "high chance of recurrence." I think about it every day, but get past it by telling myself it hasn't come back yet. If/when it does come back I don't want to have the regret that I spent good years dwelling on the possibility. Still, I love hearing from those who are still living large after 10 plus years!!! I'm grateful for every day.

So good to see your 10 year post, Maryanne joining IKC. ABSOLUTELY fabulous!!! I'll be celebrating big time if I get there!! My DX is similar and you both give me hope! Keep posting. Does your oncl. order scans? My last Herceptin will be in Nov, then my oncl. says tumor markers every 3 months, but no scans. PET scan initially last Oct.

Trying to stay positive, busy and happy, grateful for every wonderful day--but do have my worry/fear moments! This site has been great therapy to vent and read others experiences. Do not see many her2 positive, er-pr-, stage 3

What a great story! It gives me hope that maybe soon there will be a stage 3-D - people that are oligo will be given more hope! That's my case-one small Unconfirmed met that totally disappeared with chemo. Then BMX and radiation resulting in a NED scan - and no node involvement.
