Dang it. I know I said I was available on the 21st but my mom is not doing well and we're in the process of working out the long term issues. I have to be on the east side getting information on long term placement and Medicaid issues.
If there is a change in plans let me know because I'd love to get together and see everyone as well as meet those who haven't made it before.
Gerri -
Looking forward to meeting you all getting excited now, can you tell I do not get out much. mostly just to doctor appointments and chemo treatments. I'm finally starting to feel better after that last Taxol treatment. Sure glad they changed it and I won't have to do that one again. Hopefully the new one they are going to do will not effect me the same way , my doc doesn't think it will. He thinks part of my problem was crashing after the mega dose of steroids.
Well see you all Sat. Hugs Jan -
Dunno--couldn't go last time. I will assume that somewhere shortly after 11 is good. I'll check this thread before I go.
-
Bumping this up to the first page.
-
I called, and the restaurant opens at 11:00. I'm going to shoot for 11:00. I'm usually way early or a little late.
-
That was real bad timing to have the boards down during all this planning!
I'll be there 11:00 ish. Tonya and Candi will be joining us!
See everyone soon.
Nancy -
Sphynx, SEI, fancy, Tonya and all the rest of the MI ladies,
Have a great time today.
Hugs,
kats -
Not sure anyone will get this before you leave for the Olive Garden....I'm not going to be able to make it. My Mom called and I need to take her to the doctors, I think I told you all she had fallen broke her shoulder and some ribs and then was in a rehab place. Well, she got home last Sat. and every thing was fine, she has been doing rehab for the shoulder at home, I don't know if she did to much or what but she said she woke up in pain. There is only my son and myself to help her, my brother lives 150 miles from here so needless to say I can't make it. I was so looking forward to meeting you all, I know you will all have a good time. Hope you do this again soon...Maybe Dec. Will be thinking of you. hugs Jan
PS HAPPY BIRTHDAY Irene -
I'm sorry I didn't make it todya. I was so looking forward to seeing you all today, but ended up sleeping 12 hours instead. My body and my mind are just not in sync yet. I hope you plan another luncheon soon.
Love,
Ann -
And a great time was had by all. We gotta do this again, real soon, gals. Somebody think of a great place to eat for the next time.
-
We missed the ladies that didn't make it but had such a good time, we are already planning our next soiree. Candy is checking out Canton for Lorie so we are hoping for something in that neck of the woods. We are also looking for a place that lets us chat for hours since we always get the feeling that we are hanging out too long and want to keep talking. If anyone has suggestions, please pipe-up.
I'm fine with a Sunday if it gets the Chicago ladies to join us. Anyone else?
Shel - I tried to call you in the morning and was worried that my directions were going to take you to Ann Arbor or California. I got an all circuits busy recording. I just read about your latest developments and want to say I am so sorry. You will get through this and we are here for you if you need us.
Geri and Jan - Hope your mom problems smooth out. My mother is 92 so, I can relate.
Hope to see everyone again real soon.

Hello!!!
Nancy, Irene, Kay and Candi.... It was terrific seeing all of you. Too bad we couldn't have visited longer. It is so nice to know that we are not alone, and have eachother for support. It am really glad that I got a chance to meet all of you.
Sorry, if I'm getting too mushy...lol I just watched that Lifetime movie (that I said I wasn't going to watch)!
You ladies are wonderful!!! See you soon!
XOXO,
Tonya -
So sorry I did not make it and even worse...I forgot to tell Barb and Connisue about it. Ugh. My new job has been so very very busy (I love it though) and my last class is busy as well. I worked all weekend and I was even out of town!!!
I am glad that some of you ladies got together. Let plan for an outing in December now...that way we can get a bigger turnout? Sunday would be great...that would give me a good excuse to go shopping after lunch. Irene, can you post a poll? -
Hi, Nancy...I tried to respond to your PM you but your mailbox is full. XOXO, Tonya
-
We missed you! We were thinking about after the holidays--avoid the rush---a poll is a good idea.
-
Tonya Tammy - I cleaned my messages again. I cannot let go of the old messages from Sprite. It is bad enough that all the old posts are gone, I'm holding onto these. What is the max we can have, anyone know?
As you know, I have a pretty boring life so I'll put any date on my calendar and will look forward to another get-together.
Irene - any results back yet? How are you doing?
Kay - Good news on your visit and thanks for the vitamin/herbal alert. How is your DH? Do you mind me using your real name? I always feel like I'm addressing your horse!
Candi - Did you make your appointment? How did your new job go?
Tonya - Check your email also!
Hope everyone is well.

Why don't you copy them and paste them into a Word document? Then you won't be dependant on anything this board does.Quote:

Call me anything, just call me for dinner! LOL My Dh is doing better this week! We are delighted. He has had several VERY good days. We think maybe we turned a corner--it would be wonderful if that were so. Thanks for asking, too.
Nancy, have a great week. I'm looking forward to the next get-together. -
Hi,
It was great seeing everyone. Time went too fast again, though!
Jan Sorry you couldnt make it, we were looking forward to meeting you. Hope your moms doing better now. Thank you - how did you know it was my birthday??
Ann Hope youre doing well. How did the carpet turn out?
Gerri Sorry to hear your moms not doing well. Hopefully you can make the next one.
Kay - Glad to hear your DH is feeling better. Hope it's a permanent turn for the better.
Candi - How's the job going?
December would be fine with me for another lunch. Itd be a nice break from all of the stress of the season. And a good way to get me out shopping afterwards (Im a bit of a procrastinator). Ill put a poll up in a few days.
Finally got my results. I called again on Monday for my blood test results and mentioned that my ultrasound results should be in, too, and she says I have to come in for those. So I went in. Looks like Im not in menopause anymore, so Ill be sticking with Tamoxifen. The ultrasound showed an ovarian cyst and a slight thickening of the endometrial lining. Shouldnt be a problem since Im not in menopause anymore, but he suggested I see my gyn and do a follow up ultrasound in December (merry Christmas) to be sure.
I did complain about how hard it is to get results by phone and he apologized and said theyd fired all but two of the women in office in the last two weeks, so there should be an improvement next time. Well see how it goes.
Nursing a cold right now, so Im off to bed.
Take care. -
A get together is being planned June 07 in Wilmington, NC for ALL bc sisters. Some from England are planning to come. It is posted on the boards....Saw your post and wanted to ask you to try to make that one as well.
Hugs -
Hi Michigan girls,
I just came across this post. Don't know how I missed it before. I'm not real "clever" when it comes to computers! Do you all meet every so often or what? What area do you live in? I'd like to meet some people (survivors) around me! I'm sure it is hard to get people together, but if you don't mind I'd like to hear from some of you!
Denise -
Hi Denise,
Nice to meet you! I'm in Utica. Where abouts are you?
Anne -
Hi everyone,
If you do a get together in Dec.I will really tryt o get there. Wish me luck. I'm supposed to have breast reconstruction surgery at Troy Beaumont on Nov. 29. I do have MRSA courtesy of Henry Ford's surgeons, so I have to take special antibiotics & pray for the best.
Ann -
Hi, Denise. I'm in Fenton. I first got together with this group for the Komen Walk for the Cure this summer. We're a diverse and varied group. BC is what brings us all together.
-
Welcome Denise...I am in Oxford, MI. Luckyanna...good luck on your surgery. Armynavymom...how are your feeling? Irene...can you do a post please? I would like to do lunch in either December of January. I initially met some of these ladies about two years ago when we first got together.
-
Thanks Ladies,
I live in Hartland with a Fenton mailing address. I've walked in the Komen walk the past 3 years ! Maybe I'll get a chance to meet some of you. I work part time, so I'd like to join one of your luncheons!

Hey Denise! I live in Tyrone Twp with a Fenton mailing address. We HAVE to be close. I'll pm you--- -
Hello,
I am in Kalamazoo.........any members on this side of the State? -
I think a December/January get together sounds like fun. Now that I'm employed again, hopefully I'll be able to make it! :-)
I'm doing okay, but I'm getting really tired of this LONG treatment plan that I've got. Oh well, A/C today, then 3 more, then 2 weeks off before T. I think I'd rather count days till Christmas!
At least it's a beautiful day, so I'm gonna walk to my treatment. -
Hi adrionna (Sopranos fan?) and looksgreat. I remember talking with a few women from the Westside of the State but do not remember who. I think we are spread out all over the State but meet in Novi often.
I'm sorry to post that we lost one of our sisters whom you may remember since she was from the Southfield area.
