Hello to everyone, I got my results today and it was good news. CT scan showed no lung or organ involvement and bone mets are healing and appear to be inactive, tm's down to 13 from 137. I'm so relieved and so tired from stressing over this.

Andrea and 208sandy, praying for good results and sending all my positive thoughts your way.

terri,  yay to stable! Doing a happy dance for you!

Aoibheann, holding your hand while you wait and praying for good results. Good thing you're on top of things and spoke up so that you had all the proper scanning done.

Kt1966, hoping your scan showed the taxol is working. Prayers and all the positive mojo I can muster being sent to you.

MusicLover, praying your pet scan shows really good results, sending positive thoughts and energy your way.

Jenny, the waiting is the hardest part but we're here for you in anyway you need. Best of luck and please let us know what the PET scan shows.

Max_Otto, you have a great attitude towards all of this. Praying for good scan results.

    Hello Divine and RonnieKay!

    Hugs to all, Annie

    Annie and Terri ,
    Great news as they say is always welcome;

Music lover, I love your username, music is important to me as well, Kt1966, Aoibheann and Andrea, finger crossed , well I could include toes but can't cross them for good results.

My assessment was generally good, however, the scan show some progression in the pleura, otherwise, no organ or bone involvement. My onc uses 3 tm, ca125 which is normal (16), CEA which is dropping significantly for high of 27.5 to 14.7 but my Ca15-3 is still high, so combined with the scan, I'm not considered stable at present. I still feel fine and am preparing for a lengthy trip out of the country. My onc informed me I will need to have blood tests every 2 weeks, .....now I'm looking up medical clinics, not my favorite place to hang out unless they were in a bookstore or Starbucks, but it will get done.

I hope I didn't miss anyone, everyone's kind words are inspiring to me.

Once again, Annie.... Happy dance!! Terri, congrats on stable!

    Thanks, Stefanie!

I swear I used to tolerate the barium like a champ, but the last few scans my stomach has not done well with it. Still, I guess it's better than not knowing what's going on.

Max...does this mean you're looking up medical clinics abroad?  We will take no organ or bone involvement as great news...and wait (maybe impatiently) for pleura to improve!  Wishing you happy, safe travels :-)

    RonnieKay,

Thanks for the encouraging words, I do see this as positive results, as to travel, yes I'm looking up medical facilities for a CBC test. My WB counts need to be monitored as I'm on Pablociclib/Letrozole hormonal treatment protocol. I'm finding some difficulties and am trying to solve them.

A US Physician's order is not necessarily accepted, later I will post on travel board for anyone needing info when I return. I will be gone 5 weeks so 2 blood draws.

    Kathy

So had my onc appointment today and of course the dreaded Faslodex shots and I am stable!!! There had been some activity in both my lungs which is why the onc called for the scan but my TMs are down to normal and lung activity has been stopped in its tracks - she said the Faslodex is working well and so no onc appointment for two months and no scan for four months, just the shots and bloodwork every month for now - I am so relieved.

Still waiting for others' reports.  Oh Max...5 weeks abroad sounds wonderful...good luck w/planning!

If there's an open chair here I'll come in and have a seat. I'm waiting to schedule a PET-CT and a lumbar puncture. I've been losing weight (32 lbs) over the past 6 months which has not improved with rearranging my meds and now in the last month developed double vision. My brain MRI was negative, so at least that's out of the way! I've seen the eye specialist, my oncologist and a neurologist in the past 10 days, and basically they aren't sure what's going on. Could be something, could be nothing. I feel like I'm playing "medical procedure bingo" and going for the blackout card! In the meantime I need to keep my head on straight for work and family. Ugh. Thanks for listening to me whine!

PS-great to see that many people have been getting good news and I'm going to try to visualize the same for my tests!

CarlaK - we have your back - btw have you checked with your pharmacist - they can be wonderful detectives vis-a-vis meds that might be causing some problem(s) - glad the brain MRI was clear. Sending a hug, S.

Thanks for all the good thoughts! Scan results were mostly good. A little growth in my liver, but my onc feels since it's small and I've been on and off of Ibrance trying to get my white blood cells where they need to be, it's worth giving it a little longer now that the cells are where they need to be.

Better news? We'll recheck in 6 weeks with ultrasound so no barium ;)

Have a great trip, Kathy! And Sandy, congratulations on great new!

Carla, good luck, wishing you easy procedures and great results!

Roses… hope the Ibrance wipes out those bad cells! I'm still following you all on the Ibrance thread, as it looks like that may be next for me. Cheering you on!

Sandy and Annie, great news! Kathy and Roses, positive news to hear that scans were mostly good, and hope you enjoy your trip, Kathy.

Kt1966, Andrea, Musiclover, CarlaK and everyone else holding hands and crossing fingers and toes and wishing for the best. I'm still waiting to hear my results and getting increasingly anxious as the hosp reg was supposed to contact me on Thurs. and my calls are not being returned. Of course I think it must be bad news and they're waiting for my onc to ring me. Eating xanax... hate this...

I'm glad for all the good news coming thru. Enjoy your trip Kathy. I'm glad it looks like Ibrance may yet deal to the liver mets Roses.

I get my results tomorrow. I've decided maybe the increased heart rate I was experiencing may have been anxiety- seems to be settling now. Stupid scanxiety.

I hope you get yours real soon Aiobheann, not fair to wait so long & get no response from the reg....

Fingers & toes crossed for all those waiting

Roses....that pesky little liver bugger won't know what hit him...go ibrance go! Glad counts are where they need to be!

Aoibheann....choosing to believe good news is waiting!    Hang tight, kt...hoping for all good news & I agree on the heart rate...I have the same se, but I just had to get a bit of help...seems even good news made my heart want to pop outta my chest!   Hope for all!

Best results I could have hoped for! PET did not show any metastases other than the arm/shoulder and hip. So grateful, God is good!

The new treatment plan: Zoladex to shut down my ovaries (not looking forward to that but, hey, whatever). 10 rounds rads to arm/shoulder which I'm told will relieve the pain. PLUS Femara & palbociclib once the ovaries shut down and Xgeva to strengthen my bones.

Happy happy happy no other mets! And so happy for everyone else with good scan results. Even if they're not perfect results we're all still in the game!

    Thanks all!

jennylee - good to see your news - and new treatment plan sounds like a winner too, especially the part about the rads and pain relief - hope you're having a nice, relaxing weekend. S.

Jenny, glad you got good results! I recently had rads to my hip for 10 sessions. I really didn't get relief until 3 weeks after it was done so don't be discouraged. My radiation oncologist said it was normal. I did have lifting restrictions during treatment and for 4 weeks after so don't over do it!

    Great news Jenny.

I got my results back today - seems the taxol is working as the lung nodules are slightly smaller and the bone mets are more sclerotic. Still have a small pleural effusion and nodular pleural enhancement, but otherwise good.

I'm glad that I can stay on taxol & not go thru treatments too quickly :)

    Thanks for waiting with me...

208sandy, great news that the faslodex shots are working. I'm so relieved for you and great that your tm's are normal.

Max_Otto, sounds like pretty good scan results to me. No organ or bone involvement is great news. Praying the minor progression in the pleura quickly abates and your next scan is even better. Best of luck in your travels.

CarlaK, praying your scan shows you have nothing to worry about.

RosesToses, your scan results sound pretty good considering you've had to go off and on the Ibrance. Praying for even better news at the next check. Hope your blood counts recover quickly.

jennylee, so happy to hear your good results! Best of luck with your new treatment plan and praying it knocks those mets right back.

Kt1966, yay to taxol working, I'm relieved to hear that and good to know your bone mets are more sclerotic.

Aoibheann,  sounds like stable to me, doing a happy dance!

MusicLover, hope you get results soon, praying for positive news.

    Hugs to all, Annie
