So happy you got great brain news terri :-).    I'm tri-lingual....English, chemo & anxiety :-).   I find most people understand most of the time...except my grandkids, who let me know when I veer off English...and it makes us laugh!

Finally got back over to this thread and have caught up on the last month or so. Nancy and Terri, so glad to hear that everything came back normal! What a relief for both of you!

Diana - I already saw/commented on your good news on your other post - I'm sorry you had such a bad time with the spinal tap though - i hope you're feeling better now.

Good luck to anyone else who may be waiting on results!

    Hugs,

    Amy

I'm glad to read there is so much good news on this thread. Woot-woot, ladies!!!

I'm sitting in the waiting room now. I had my PET yesterday, no big deal. I like it much better than when they push that contrast through you in a CT scan and you feel all hot and weird.

Trying to find a comfortable couch here. I will find out Monday morning, at the latest, but I am hoping for sooner. My tumor markers had risen very slightly a couple of weeks ago and that makes me nervous.

Macy, my MO doesn't take tumor makers.  Very rarerly.  She said the scans are an accurate picture of what she needs to know.  So try not to worry and enjoy the weekend.

thanks, txmom. I wish my MO didn't look at TMs either. I called and they said the results won't be available until Monday. I go in for my second to last chemo on Monday anyway. Ay-yi-yi.

    Have a good weekend!

my next scan is Aug 21. Worried about this as my leg has been hurting for a couple of weeks and the pain is in the place where I had a bone lesion. Normally I would have had scan straightaway but I was just about to leave for Italy and decided I'd do it when I came back. Worrying also about platelets and blood count which I have no way of checking here. But I'm guessing platelets have collapsed again as I have an enormous bruise on my wrist. So not having a v relaxing holiday. Don't have energy to do much other than look at the view.

Hope everyone has a good week

Hope you got good scan results Macy.

Wow Bosco, nice view definitely nicer than the view in the scanner- good call to go to Italy first.

My next scan is next Thursday. Will be good to know if taxol is working, I've been very tired & my chest/pleura don't feel quite right....

Terri, Sending prayers for a clear MRI. It is so very easy to identify with your situation....increasing headaches ....some memory issues....just awful and for me my mind was stuck in all those "dark" places. It does help to reassure ourselves that all those thoughts are just stage IV nasty boogers determined to drive us nuts! Big hugs Terri. Good luck! Peggy

Peggy, my brain MRI was clean thank god! Now going for more scans because my tumor markers went up, ugh. Now I have to have a bone scan and CT of the chest, abdomen and pelvis with contrast. Yippee!!! NOT!!!

Oh Terri...I'm happy for a clean brain scan!!!  Will pray the rest of your body shows the same!  Have TMs been steadily rising?  Thinking if you!

Bosco...I'd say...enjoy your trip & amazing view...but I totally get it.   I think I would love 90 in Italy much more than Seattle.

Kt...my blood & TM's say things look good, but I just don't feel quite right & I'm pretty analytical/smart on how my body's working.  Hoping it's just the stage 4 boogers Momonana mentioned cause Taxol is "good" stuff (you know what I mean :-)

I go in tomorrow for my scan...and then have only herceptin.  My onc has dropped perjeta & this will be my first tx w/out it.  This scan is meant for a "baseline"....so I'm very hopeful it looks as good as Nov's scan, right after dropping chemo.  Nervous...but prayerful/hopeful...for all of is.  XOXO

Bosco, will be thinking of you on the 21st and praying for good scan results. Italy looks beautiful, I'm Italian and still never been. Hoping your platelets and blood counts are within the normal range.

Kt1966, prayers for good scan results that show the taxol is working. Sorry your chest/pleura is feeling tight, hoping you get relief real soon.

Macy, any pet scan results? Praying for good news.

Peggy, yes stage IV nasty boogers is right, drives me nuts when I go to those dark places. How are you feeling?

RonnieKay, prayerful and hopeful too that your scan will be as good or better than November's. Sending positive thoughts your way.

Tomorrow is my CT scan with that nasty contrast Macy was talking about that makes you feel all hot and weird and like you peed your pants, oh joy! I could use all of your prayers and positive thoughts, major scanxiety tonight.

    Hugs to all, Annie

Stage IV nasty boogers- very good :) Thanks for well wishes.

I hope your scans go well tomorrow Ronniekay & Annie....& that the results are good.

It would be nice to have a fast forward button sometimes & skip all the waiting! Distraction is the answer, just got to come up with some fun stuff to do...

HI all, sorry it took me a few to get back to this thread. And thanks for all your good thoughts.

annieoakley, good luck with your CT today. I hope the contrast isn't too bad for you.

ronniekay, please keep us updated. I know how it is when things don't feel quite right with our bodies. Is it the treatments? Something more serious? Anxiety? It's all so confusing!

My PET scan came back mostly good. However, as I mentioned in another thread, don't mean to be redundant, the TPH protocol I am on doesn't seem to be working as well as it should. Fortunately, my scan showed no spread, its still "only" in my lungs. Like I mentioned earlier, my tumor markers dropped and then rose slightly and it appears the nasty stuff is getting itself organized again, even with the taxotere. My onc says the uptake was starting to increase. So, it is onto a different regimen now.

I am already so sick of chemo and I have only had 4 treatments so far. I lost my hair with the taxotere of course and believe it or not, it is starting to grow back. Now I will probably lose that with the AC. Sigh.

Good luck to all of you getting your scans this week. I'm thinking of you and yes, praying for good outcomes!

    Catching up here…

So happy for your good news, Terri! And I'm hoping the trend continues with your CT scan.

RonnieKay and Annie, I have everything crossed that your results are good.

Macy, no spread is always happy news. I'm hoping your next treatment will turn that cancer right around and OUT THE DOOR!!

    kt, wishing you the best!

    Thinking of all of you…

    Rose.

Ok Annie...I kind of get a kick outta waiting for the "wet your pants warm sensation" during scans...but I also like anesthesia :-).   I don't, however, like all the other stuff we're going through :-(.  When, oh when will there really be a cure...we need it now!  Holding hands w/you in the tube today!

Macy...I've shared w/you on the other site...no worries about being redundant...lots of us on lots of different threads...the more positive vibes & prayers & whatever means of creating good in the universe, the better!  Hoping AC finishes the job THP started & heals you!!!

Thinking of all my sisters...always hopeful for good news & added strength when new challenges test us.

Had a CT of my chest, abdomen and pelvis, with contrast yesterday and getting a bone scan tomorrow. Hoping they don't show progression! I'll find out Wednesday when I follow up with my oncologist.

Ronniekay, Annieoakley, Terrij52, Bosco, kt1966, fingers crossed that your scans are ok. I'm waiting with you, having ct on Tues., wondering if faslodex and femera are working. I'm really scared as I had progression on faslodex the first time I had it. Stress, stress.... Hugs x

Aoibheann...so good to see you!  Will definitely be sending wishes, prayers, hope...you name it...for a great scan next week!

Terri & Annie...hoping with all my heart, that scans went well yesterday & praying the same for today's bone scan (awake now at our 12:30 am...your 3:30 am, after a "nap").

I got my results less than an hour after my scan when my nurse (floor 3) called me in the infusion waiting room (floor 5), saying they'd just gotten my scan & wanted to share the good news.  She said "all clear" in the liver, and read on, which I hardly remember...except that my lungs are still clear...9 months after chemo, on h/p/femara.  Praise God...I cried. For a flash, I wondered why I'm going off perjeta...but thought of the fear going off chemo & am trusting my onc. DH said he wants this feeling to last til next scans...I made no promises but will try.  Hoping, wishing, praying for all good news.  Thanks for keeping me in your hearts.

Aoibheann, praying your scan shows this combo is working well and there is no progression but regression. I'll be with you in spirit on Tuesday.

Macy, so glad there is no spread but sorry the THP protocol isn't working as you'd hoped. Praying the new regimen kicks cancer's a**.

Terri, hoping all went well and that your results are going to show no progression.

RonnieKay, omg tears of joy for you, I am so happy at your amazing results! How lucky that you got your results so quickly and with such good news. ((((Hugs))))

KT1966, Macy, MusicLover, Steelrose, RonnieKay and Aoibheann thank you for all your prayers and well wishes.

My scan went well, still feeling off from the contrast and this time it was odd, I felt really really hot when it was pushed through and my heart was beating really fast, and yes I felt like I wet my pants. Now the waiting, and praying. Please God let it all be good. Follow up appt is on the 12th but I'm praying I get a call with positive news before then.

    Hugs to all, Annie
