I was put into menopause at age 51 because of my BC diagnosis. I received lupron injections very 3 months for 3 years and was on hormonal therapy for 3 years. I have been off the injections & oral meds for about 1 year now.It looks like my period has returned. I saw my GYN yesterday and need to have some more tests. I was wondering if there was anyone else who had their period return. The GYN doesn't seem to be overly concerned at this time, being safe by ordering some more tests. Is this common

This did not happen to me but I think it does occur, especially during those "peri-menopausal" years when periods can become irregular as hormones fluctuate. Your doctor is probably testing your blood for evidence of ovarian function. Mine wanted two sets of data a couple months apart to make sure things were OK before switching me from tamoxifen to an aromatase inhibitor. Hopefully you'll be fine and only a little annoyed at Aunt Flo's return...
