hahaha I wish I was a master at eyebrows- the class was nice. Unfortunately the instructer couldn't Do eyebrows well. She told me the side I did looked better than hers. And I agree. I actually prefer to use a brow powder vs a pencil. Looks more natural and less drawn in. The bag was full of some useful stuff and some that I will give my my oldest to play with around the house. There was only myself and one other lady and like always I was the youngest. I really keep hoping to run into another woman my age going through this. I so badly want to connect with someone.

Today I will have 4 taxol left!!! Eeekkkkk

Positive looking good in that suit- and the hair growth I'm jealous of

    Kbeee so excited for you!!!

I'm drawing on the eyebrows with a brow pencil, although I feel like I'm ending up with the Norma Desmond look. Gloria Swanson as Norma Desmond would be bad enough - let's hope it's not Carol Burnet as Norma Desmond. I haven't figured out any solution to the loss of eyelashes, other than sunglasses.

Gkodad, eyeliner can help with lack of eyelashes, sort of gives the look of something there. I also found Anastasia eyebrow powder applied with a small slant brush gave a more natural look- less drawn in. Although it's a powder, I found it lasted all day and did not sweet off! It's expensive but lasts a long time, in fact I'm still using it daily 2 years later as my brows came back very thin and light.

Hope those in the chair today a quick tx with minimal SE!

Theprincess way to go! Finish line is in sight

    Positivespirit love the look!

KBeee, I go for second last tomorrow- can't wait to be done, the exhaustion and lack of strength for everyday things (vacuuming, food shopping etc) is getting to me. A little nervous of "the abandoned" feeling after tx.

    Hi ladies!

Sprite, just read your horrible ordeal! I'm so sorry you had to endure that. But, its great that u are done. It must be a huge relief for you.

Dizz, all that u go through just to have chemo! Your storm stories are exciting though.

    kbee...almost done, girl!

    Little, yes...get on FB!

Positive, love your pic! You've inspired me to do some cross dressing for fun. think im gonna raid my 11 yr old's closet!

Ksusan & Gko.....pretty funny encounters! Especially someone praying for you in the damn store! I would have been mortified!!! I hate any attention when it comes to my DX. And, Like Scarlett, I haven't come out on FB, either. I just get the strange stares, and ppl commenting on my "cute haircut". I now just thank them and go on my merry way.

Addie, feeling any better today? I still haven't attended a LGFB class. But the next one is the 12th. Gonna try to mske that one.

Lynne, hows DD? Howss the pool?

The other day my FIL told me I looked pale (love his brutal honesty) but realized it was because my brows were barely there, so I went out and got a brow pencil from CVS. After messing with them, I achieved the look I wanted. But, it was no easy task. Spent more time on my brows then the time I take in the shower. Hitting the chair today. 3 more Taxol's left! Feel good ladies!

gingeel today I have a massive headache. Don't know if it's from chemo or the severe lack of sleep I had last night. How are you feeling?

On our way to chicago midway. Should be home by 3:05 mountain time. Slept more last night than the 2 previous combined, so I feel pretty reasonable today. Anyone else have problems wanting to say a word, you can see it in your head, but you can't manage to say it? Is this Chem brain. Also having trouble when I try to handwriting numbers and dates. Geesh! Helping DS with his homeschool is going to get entertaining. If this round is like the last, I'll be way laid by intense pain days 3-5 (w-f) and mouth will be out of commission from tonight to next tuesday. HOWEVER, I've got a few extra tricks from the natupath to try and both he and the MO think my body will accept round 2 better than round 1. If I can avoid the C from the hydrocodone, that will be an improvement. Good luck on all fronts ladies. Soooooooo jealous that so many of you are finishing up!!!

Addie, sorry your head is killing you! Make sure u take something. I've been getting headaches, er, migraines a lot lately. I have Trexemet to take for them.

Feeling groggy from benedryl. Mom is here to help with my family today..

Has anyone else had trouble tracking down their RO for the next step? I tried to call mine last Friday, and twice today- no answer. How long can I reasonably GO before Radiation won't be effective???? My last chemo was July 17!!!!!!!! Starting to stress it a little....

Littleblue, my last chemo was 6/4, I wasn't allowed to do my sim until 6/25 (and in fact did it 7/1--their scheduling, not mine), with radiation supposed to start on 7/9, but the linear accelerator broke, so I started on 7/10, followed by the weekend off. This seems to have been within parameters. But keep on them!

Hi, just back on line - we had tornado warnings here, took shelter about 2:30 and lost power then. Chuck came home around six and got the generator going before spoilage set in. Nothing like a summer power outage. Just making dinner now.

Glad you're safe Lynne!!! Hope the power is back on by now!!

Princess, Gingeel and Addie...Hope you all are feeling good and got some sleep last night. I got a few hours. I slept through most of my treatment until the IV pump goofed up and the nurses woke me up trying to fix it. lol

Dizz, yes, I have trouble finding the simplest words and familiar names sometimes, it bugs me to death!

Good luck tomorrow Steph, YAY on the last one!!! You are so right about how far we have come and how strong we are...and you've been through a whole lot!! A Tylenol PM would knock me on my butt before all of this, I figured I'd be bedridden with months of chemo! We keep on fighting like girls, kicking cancer's ass!!!

Renee, how are you feeling, I hope better???

Well, thank you steroids, I am wide awake so I'm heading out for a walk! Hope everyone is feeling good today!

My MO says he likes about a month between chemo and rads, so your system can get stronger. I read somewhere they like to start within six weeks of either surgery or chemo, but I have no idea if that's based on anything other than RO preference. MY MO also likes a month after rads to start AIs for the same reason, although that does make me a little uncomfortable - since AI is the best insurance for postmenopausal ER+ ladies. Seems like two- three months is a long time between chemo and AI.

I'll shop for the brow powder - or maybe I'll stop by UPS and ask the lady to pray for the return of my hair, brows and eyelashes.

Feel as good as possible, ladies. I'm feeling good just knowing I won't be facing chemo next week!

lol, Gko......tell her to pray for me too. Hey i actually believe in the power of prayer, but that was too funny and ridiculous!

Wow, Lynne. . glad it passed you!

almost there, Steph!!! hope you get through this last one unscathed.

Gingerchi, I was groggy and sleepy all day, then when it came time to actually go to sleep, I was wide awake. I eventually gave in and took an Ativan, but it didnt really help. Hope you had a nice walk! Think Im gonna do the same.

I spoke to my doc about something to help me sleep and he doesn't want to put me on anything now that I only have 4 treatments left. Anyone have an success with anything over the counter? Melatonin just straight gave me headaches in the past. Last night I slept better than I usually do but still not great.

    Hello All:

Addie: so glad you got some good makeup and they finally had their program. Feel so bad that you have no one to connect your age around you. Keep reaching out online and maybe contact the local cancer.org chapter? There are others out there looking to connect online and are thinking the same as you! You will be amazing for them to meet! Of course right now take care of you and those active little ones. Everything happens when it is supposed to I guess.

Gingerchi: Thanks for asking. Wow this last chemo did a number on me. Just hate the lost week after treatment due to the side effects. I need to be patient as it was my last chemo but I am so frustrated and just want to feel human again. Just going down the stairs to do laundry has me winded the last couple days. Two days basically in a fog of mental confusion, fatigue and up all last night indigestion and GI issues. I keep telling myself each day will get better but, unfortunately, sometimes it is worse before better. Today numbness on bottom of both feet and my nails have decided to finally start splitting. I'm trying to catchup from the posts the last few days. It wouldn't be so bad if you could just sleep the week but the steroids make you awake when you want to do nothing but blissfully sleep it away. Errrrggghhhh

My MO recommended a month wait before my consult and start radiation in order to get stronger. And, honestly, as much as I just want this to be done I want to start feeling more human before the rad gun every day for 28 days. So I'm grateful I have almost 2 more weeks before radiology consult. In between, my surgeon wants to see me and recheck everything before radiation. And my MO ordered an echo as standard to check the heart after chemo and before rads.

Lynne: Scary storms these days and so sudden! Glad you are safe and power back. Here in N.IL and S.WI we had bad ones Sunday night along with a tornado further east. My elderly parents live in S.WI, about an hour away from me, and lost power for over 12 hours. I was very worried about them as mom didn't charge her cell phone and they no longer have house phone. Thankfully they are in a senior community and fire station across the street. Other than being confused from lack of sleep all thru the night and not having had their cpaps for oxygen they were fine. We have taught my 77yr old mom texting, words with friends and Facebook so she had a charge on her computer and was able to let me know they were ok during the night. LOL thank goodness one of them is techy.

DizzParkMom: Hope you made it home safe and are having low SEs.

Stephmoen: HOOORAY!!! So happy for you!

And, yes, I really want my brain function back instead of the "whatchamacallit" that is in my head but can't put a word to. I think this is the part that scares me the most but I'm told don't worry it will be fine. So go with it as I can't change it right?...Thinking of all of us!!! Sorry if I have missed anyone posting it is not deliberate that I didn't respond. We are all getting there! Be kind to ourselves as we keep on....

he doesn't want to prescribe me anything long term because I only have 4 treatments left and I understand that. He wants me to try Tylenol pm and see if that helps. I saw this drink called emergen-ZZZ. Has anyone tried that? It has a small dose of melatonin in it and it's like a tea that you drink but it's about $12! But it's worth a try I guess

Gingeel, the same happens to me!! At bedtime I'm wide awake. Enjoy your walk...mine was nice...its more like a stroll with my dogs since they have to stop and sniff every leaf. lol

Addie, the nurses told me I can take Benedryl to help me sleep if I need it, but I haven't tried it..after being loaded up on it already I didn't want to add more. lol
