Dizz, so sorry about your derm report. I was wondering if you had heard. Yes, all you need is one more thing to worry about. I've rescheduled my squamous cell excision from the end of August to the week after my mid-September lumpectomy. I figured I might as well combine my exercise restrictions.

    kBee, you're almost done!!! Woot!!!

o, this is what my feet look like by every evening - sometimes earlier in the day. I think they are close to when I was pregnant (and had pre-eclampsia):

Don't ya love my left half toe nail?

I realized that it doesn't look so bad, so here's a picture without crocs on:

Anyway, is this something to call MO about?

Alcohol - my MO said an occasional drink was fine - just not 24 hours before or after chemo. But I didn't feel like it until recently, and I was worried about the liver impact. My husband and I just took a little 2-day vacation to celebrate no more chemo, and sangria beside the pool tasted really good!

Well, today's my 35th birthday. Gonna take myself out to breakfast I think! Something delicious, like gluten free earl grey infused chocolate cake. Kind of weird to be alone on my birthday after all this!

Happy birthday Jen! I'm surprised that you are not with your brother or parents. Chocolate cake for breakfast sounds great! It must feel weird to be alone, but then you and DH can celebrate when he returns - that way you prolong the celebrating :-)

Lynne - that looks uncomfortable...edema? I would call MO. Pool looks fabulous!!! And so inviting in this heat.

Ksusan - looking gorgeous in red.

Dizz - so sorry about the derm report!

    Gokodad - celebrate away.

Thinking of all of you... I am going to sign up for a breast cancer retreat in October in the Berkshires. I just feel like I need to be better about taking care of myself. Have to figure out care plans for the kids as DH works nights.

Finally, HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLEBLUE ..... HUGS, KISSES, HUGS, TODDLER DANCE, woohoo, yippee, yeah!! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽŠπŸŽŠπŸŽŠπŸŽŠπŸŽŠπŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’«βœ¨πŸŽˆπŸŽˆπŸŽˆπŸŽˆπŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

    Happy birthday littleblue! πŸŽ‚πŸŽ‰βœ¨

Lynne, I love the pool! I am so jealous! I agree with Kbeee - you need a diuretic for those feet.

I still am headachy but don't have the sudden, severe pain I did before. I went to my GP yesterday and got a prescription for a migraine med - a wafer that dissolves on your tongue and acts quickly. Hopefully I won't need it. In the meantime, I'm taking ibuprofen.

A photo of my cat Fiona...she does not lie like a normal cat, she prefers lounging around on her back.

Andrea glad to hear your GP got you something for those headaches. I've heard good things on the quick dissolve. Fiona is adorable. I have 3 cats. Love, love, love. Doggies I have had and love too. I'm partial to cats and their unique quirks and so full of personality. Can't imagine life without such good company.

Lynne you poor dear definitely need to see and talk to your MO about the edema in your feet. I'm really feeling for you. That looks miserable and uncomfortable. Hope it gets controlled fast.

Kbeee great idea for us all to have a piece of chocolate for Littleblue's bday! Had a dark chocolate!

I'm hoping and looking forward to feeling better this next week or at least not having the sick, post chemo SEs as bad. It was quite the week and glad it is done.

You guys are just the best! I raise my chocolate to you in a salute!
Thanks so much for the birthday wishes, I have never had so many female friends before. It was a good birthday. My friend took me fly fishing and bought me dinner, and my mom sent flowers. She just got back from iceland, so I didn't want her to come all this way.

Lynne, your poor feets! Hope you get some reliefe!

Andrea, your cat is a doll!

Hot flashes suck! I moon them! )@(

As Ron Burgundy says, stay classy, ladies! I love you all!

Andrea, I am glad the headaches are easing.

Renee, I hope you feel better and better each day.

Positive spirit, the retreat sounds like a great idea!

    Lynne, how are the feet?

Jen- glad you had a nice birthday. I almost peed myself at the Ron Burgundy reference. But so true. You and your April girls and my March angels are a classy bunch. Proud to have you in my lives. As we always say, sorry for the reason.

Kbee- I have you down for last Taxol tomorrow. You must be so thrilled. Or at least grateful this is over. I think I'll celebrate a bit for you today, and will be with you in spirit tomorrow. πŸ””πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸ””πŸ””πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸ””πŸ””πŸŽˆπŸŽˆπŸŽˆπŸŽˆπŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

I got moved into my new house yesterday. My dream for a better and safer place for Jack and a fresh start for me had come true. Thanks for all your support. Here is Jack surveying/one eye open, both of us resting on the bed. I love what I get to look at!

Katy, your new place looks so lovely! What a great new start! I have my last Taxol on Tuesday. I have had a weird schedule the past couple weeks alternating Mondays and Tuesdays because of MO's schedule. I'm sure close though, and I get an X-ray that afternoon and may get cleared from my boot and be back to work and back to running too.... Hoping for agreat day!

Hope that everyone is having a good weekend...I'm playing catch up with posts!!

Happy Belated Birthday, littleblue! Glad you had a nice day...did you catch any fish??

Jackbirdie, the new home looks so nice.....what a pretty view!!! Wishing you and you and Jack many happy years and new memories to come there! How is the deportation feeling? I hope better!

Andrea, Fiona is such a pretty girl, and it looks like she knows how to get comfy! lol Hope that your headaches get better!!

Lynne, love the pool!! I hope your feet are better....that swelling looks painful!!

That reminds me...just a sidenote for anyone concerned about lymphedema....I saw a lymphedema specialist and she warned against the use of diuretics. They can cause the lymphatic fluid to become thicker, resulting in reduced drainage. She was discussing Dr's who try and treat lymphedema with diuretics...not swelling like Lynne has, but it joggled my memory about it. So much crap to keep up with from here on out. Bleh!

I have a question about neuropathy. The MO changed me to seeing her every 2 weeks since I was doing well. Well this week of course my fingers and hands are really bugging me! Last week just my fingertips felt a little tingly and I mentioned it Tuesday when I had treatment. The nurses asked me questions and decided since I was still able to use them with no problems and still feel them fine that it was ok to give my treatment. So since then, its progressed to bascially the whole palm of my hand and fingers feel funny. I can still use them fine..... Its hard to describe, but kind of feels like a finger thats been mashed...sensitive, a little numb, can be painful when touching anything with much texture. I was just wondering if anyone has input on what is considered "normal" and at what point other treatment options should be looked at? A co-worker told me she had to be taken off of Taxol after 4 treatments and was tried on 3 different drugs during her 12 week course. I'm supposed to have treatment again on Tuesday but not scheduled to see the MO til Friday....I want to talk to her before I have another treatment though.
